Canada’s covid-19 second wave is a humbling moment after a summer of bragging

  1. Wow. Complicated.

Let me simplify things a bit and help Canadians to use the proper messaging.

    ATTN ALL CANADIANS:

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN GET FOR NOW. BEGGARS CAN'T BE CHOOSEY.

We are going to need a psychologist for all the anxiety some of these Americans have about Covid in Canada. Death toll almost 4 times worse in Florida today yet they are worried about Canada lol.

Unlike our ignorant little friend "TreeFrogTrader", Canadians are actually quite resourceful and capable of taking care of themselves. Any crisis is well under control now the worst is behind us already ( except possibly Alberta; c'mon Rempell do your job instead of useless grandstanding :) ). Canada is rapidly moving up the vaccinated list globally. Can't hurt.

If anyone of you know TreeFrog personally, give him a slap to the head for me. He's a cowardly man with a grudge that runs a mile wide.

Actually, under Trump the US was known for exactly the opposite. Trump went full protectionist even when it came to trade deals that were mutually beneficial. However, Trudeau and others gave Trump and gang a call and reminded him that what we provide to the US could be shut down. And no, my idiot friend, it wasn't maple syrup. We supply a shit load of electric power to the N/E corner of the US. Would be quite a problem if we stopped doing so.

There are other exports we don't need to get into, except one rather glaring example was the high grade masks being supplied by an American company. The thing is, all the materials being used to manufacture the masks were 100% sourced from a company in BC. So Trump stuck his foot in it and the manufacturer had to step in and explain it to him. He's like you in that way reality has to be spoon fed to him at times or he goes off the rails.

Just a point of clarification, no one here is "worried" or has "anxiety" over COVID in Canada.

We just think its fucking hilarious how it winds you up!

AP source: Canada authorizes Pfizer vaccine for age 12 to 16
    https://www.cbs17.com/community/hea...thorizes-pfizer-vaccine-for-age-12-to-16/amp/

TORONTO (AP) — Canada’s health regulator has authorized Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for ages 12 to 16, a person familiar with the decision the told the Associated Press on Wednesday.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to speak ahead of the upcoming announcement.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is also expected to authorize Pfizer’s vaccine for young by next week, setting up shots for many before the beginning of the next school year. The announcement comes barely a month after the company found that its shot, which is already authorized for those age 16 and older, also provided protection for the younger group.

Pfizer in late March released preliminary results from a vaccine study of 2,260 U.S. volunteers ages 12 to 15 showing there were no cases of COVID-19 among fully vaccinated adolescents compared with 18 among those given dummy shots.

Kids had side effects similar to young adults, the company said. The main side effects are pain, fever, chills and fatigue, particularly after the second dose. The study will continue to track participants for two years for more information about long-term protection and safety.

Vaccinations have ramped in Canada in months and expects to receive at least 10 million vaccines this month. More than 34% of Canadians have received at least one dose.

I think it's hilarious how wound up some of you Americans are. You certainly seem anxious.

  9. Not to forget though that "authorizing use" of a vaccine and "actually having vaccine to use" are two different concepts. Related but different.

Canada failed to study up on that little concept before. Trudeau claimed he had all sorts of vaccines coming and then went so far as to crow about all the vaccine that Canada would be sending to less affluent countries. In the end, he had no vaccine and ended out robbing some from the supplies for third world countries.

Oh, there's no doubt that Americans are anxious. I'm just saying there aren't many who are anxious about Canada.
