Canada’s covid-19 second wave is a humbling moment after a summer of bragging

Still frothing at the mouth I see. So far the hospitals kept them alive I guess but there is no doubt increasing numbers of your "low risk" group are filling our hospitals. ICU beds have been filling up rapidly; the restrictions speak to that fact. No doubt if the restrictions work, as they did in wave 2, you'll still pretend they didn't work. Seems to be what you do.

ps I edited my post to reflect your input on the lack of deaths of our young patients. I can admit when I'm incorrect unlike you. The news story I watched inferred the cases were serious some patients life in danger.

I'm not fearful of anything. You've been whining and being an emotional wreck on this for a year running. I never said young people are dying like crazy here. What I said is they are filling our hospitals when last year almost none of them were in those age groups. Don't shoot the messenger it's a daily news story here and it is the reason they closed the schools.

You really have no clue what is going on in Canada and we all know you were going on about our second wave when your community had 5 times the cases we did. Repetitive bs ideas that served no purpose. Then your blessed Sweden got hit hard by Covid, far worse then Canada. No acknowledgement you were wrong you just pretended you were right. You still bring up early long term care problems in Sweden as an excuse; Canada actually had the worst death rate in long term care in the developed world.

We all know you'll carry on with your delusions hooking into every story and short term data angle you think makes you right. And it's all pointless; your initial ideas have all been thoroughly debunked by medical science and data. You just don't seem smart enough to realize this.

  4. Although I cannot see the posts from some of the fake Canadians, I can see from some replies that they are out and about- or should that be "oot and aboot."

Most likely they are arguing that although they have more covid now that it is a better form of covid because it has "Canadian values."

    GIGGLE!!!!!!

    idiots.

You lying troll... you did say they were dying...
Then you went back and changed your quote...
    This was your quote...

"The recent outbreak in Ontario has been directly linked to younger to middle aged adults catching the UK variant while out and about. And many are more critically ill and some dying in age groups the deniers on here would suggest won't ever happen. Our schools have actually been mostly open throughout but the UK variant changed things now."

He claimed he never said they were dying...
They acts like I am the hysterical one...
    What a troll loser.

Here in Ontario, it was clear like in the second wave that Ford and Co. was late by 2-3 weeks to implement the needed restrictions. On the second wave, I even posted that at the time and said our Covid cases were guaranteed to spike up the next month or so. The posters here pretended it was unanticipated when it occurred as forecast.

I'm not sure Canada could have handled the vaccine issue any better practically speaking the problems eminated from government decisions made many years ago. Toronto used to have a world class vaccine production facility sold it to some French company. Our medical community has been as active and successful in research as anywhere really ( US being 9 times the size and probably 15-20++ times the financial power of course should have more discoveries ). Once shit hit the fan they've done some good things here procuring vaccines. However, the US does a ton of trade with Canada and it's in their best interest to control this virus globally. If a world power like Russia or China goes rogue or a catastrophe occurred much of the Western World kicks in. Trump never understood this least of all a dummy like TreeFrogTrader on this site. The US would be toast on the world stage without allies. Covid helps illustrate this again how vulnerable even the biggest player is.

Canada was sloppy on a few things but nowhere near as bad as Trump and if the US followed the deniers like Jem they'd be triple the deaths by now. I really am conflicted as to whether to confront some of these idiots or not. I don't think what they are preaching should be allowed to go unopposed but it's obvious they aren't operating on a full deck right now either.

You just seem desperate at this point, after all your Covid ideas being totally destroyed given enough time. What percentage of hospital beds with Covid patients under the age of 60 would you consider to be material ? There are enough to force the hospitals to delay other elective surgeries. The doctors are making these claims.

So you want to nitpick about post wording. Seems about right for you. When San Diego was running 5 times the Covid infection and death rates of Toronto, you just tried to ignore it. Are you even capable of considering the bigger picture, or is this just about your blessed beach time still ? You may be the most selfish asshole on this site.

Go ahead, show all your Covid posts to your family. See if they are impressed with your ideas. I had you blocked for more then a month ( or three ? ), that's how bad you were getting on here. Maybe a mistake addressing you but I feel some responsibility to out the worst Covid Deniers like yourself and your truly horrible ideas.

You and gwb still do not get it. You would rather pursue shut downs of the low risk which have now been shown to fail multiple times rather than protecting the high risk directly...

Man you all are dense as fuck. And you make up bullshit arguments. San Diego did not do it correctly... we have a moron governor who it seems did things very much like Ontario... I have told you that at least a dozen times... but you just keep creating the same strawman bullshit. CA failed. Canada Failed.... Ontario keeps locking down... its insanity.

for instance... just a short list... here... many more useful things should have been done.

    a. You have to educate high risk with the truth... about masks about catching covid in the home from family members. You have to explain clearly to them... that lots of dead and seriously ill people were masked up... an so were their family members, yet they still got it.

    b. And as you ICUs get more crowded you have to tell fat people, old people, and people with co morbidities to stay home... alone or isolate areas of their home from family members.

The high risk should have been locked down better... not these half assed lockdowns for everyone.

Cease going out. Cease having family members over.

Have their necessities delivered. Create govt agencies and volunteers to help them stay isolated.

This is what local govts would have been doing if they cared enough instead of covering their butts and creating signs that said mask up stay safe.
