    what an idiotic statement

nothing is forever. Canada exists as somewhat independent state since 1867 - it's just 2 human lives.

I honestly can't understand how you can be successful trader by extrapolation such historically short period of time into indefinite future.

Given it already was ready to crack multiple time during that period I would say it's a safe bet to say Canada unlikely retain its current form in the next 100 years

I actually see clear and simple path for Trump to break Canadian Federation into pieces

He just need to excuse one province from tariffs and maybe offer some other perks no string attached for 3 years or in exchange just for token consessions

Like the most americanized province like Alberta or Saskatchewan. Then in 3 years after next elections when Vance wins and all hope for demcrat rurns dies offer this province to join USA or enjoy the same tariffs as remaining Canada

I bet chance to crack Canada with this policy is good

You are highly delusional and disrespectful of a country that allowed you to immigrate to. You are the kind of guy who should be deported back to Russia. Trump we all know is an asshole who can't help himself. His approval rating in Canada peaked at 13% it's trending down now. The Republican party has no credibility in Canada.

The idiot here is you. Your so called "safe bet" isn't. Canada is one of the most likely countries on the planet to stay relatively unchanged in 100 years. In fact, population will grow many millions and we have plenty of space for those people. But you like Trump can pretend all you want about some fictional desire for Canadians to be part of the US. In fact, Trump is helping to highlight what we can't stand about the US and galvanizing our resolve to oppose everything he stands for. We hate the man with a passion he can't drop dead soon enough really.

  5. Mexico was an ultra violent, barbaric jungle before. Thank god the US has Texas. Mexico is still barbaric in many ways.

I don't believe Canadians want to be part of USA and likely will never will ,
I personally think Canada should stay as is. Doesn't mean it will

I just realistically look into things and draw one example how Trump can break Canada from within. He may have other ideas, They can just forcefully take Canada

will you go to fight? Are you ready to die for Canada? are you ready to sacrifice your children so canada remain independent?

    You're misinformed or intentionally trolling.

Here's a reality check. Canada has a better history with Europe than the United States considering Canada has historically declared war on the enemies of Europe and the United States before the United States declared war on their enemies.

Currently, Trump has been isolating the United States and siding with other world dictators. Not a surprise to other global leaders or 1/2 of America.

There's a possibility that Canada could form a stronger pact with Europe without the United States considering the United States seems to be walking a path without it's allies.

My point, the possibility of the U.S. Congress approving Trump to use our Armed Forces to invade Canada is ZERO. Simply, there's no hypothetical question like if someone is ready to go to battle with the U.S....to die for Canada or let their children die for Canada.

With that said, the possibility for Canada to start a war with the United States outside beating the U.S. in a hockey game is also ZERO because not one of Canada's multiple political parties would approve of such in parliament.

Yet, if Canada had a dictator and the United States had a dictator who abolish their government and political rival parties the way Hitler did...

Your war scenario becomes more of a reality than mine although there's the elephant in the room...the U.S. military has the ability to recognize a dictator because the dictator will attack his own military when he's not able to command it to invade a neighbor country that has not shown any military aggression.

Simply, the United States would find itself within another Civil War (it doesn't have the stomach for another one...relatives against their own blood) or a Military Coup (a strong possibility consider we have recently shown 50% of the country easily can be persuaded that an Insurrection is acceptable) from within to dispose of our elected President.

I do not know where you grew up or where your ancestors lived. Mine is the United States and France...military on both sides although I'm not familiar with my military ancestors in France. Yet, from the viewpoint as a former U.S. military officer and a strong understanding of my ancestors and their military history in the United States back to the Civil War...

No U.S. military soldier will invade Canada especially without the approval of Congress regardless to what a dictator may tell them to do. Thus, a Military Coup would occur if such an order was given by a U.S. dictator who dissolves our Congress for the purpose to invade other democratic countries.

Therefore, the only scenario for someone like Trump...encourage Canada to share more of its resources (e.g. electricity) considering Trump is a businessman (he never served in the U.S. Armed Forces) who will soon desperately need more electricity to keep pace with China's AI.

Canada has lots of electricity and other energy resources. :D

Trump's goal is to become a Crypto King (as stated by Trump) to go along with his MAGA King because cryptocurrency mining consumes large amounts of electricity to operate the machines as well as to cool equipment to prevent overheating...

Even more so as Cryptocurrency mining pivots more into AI data centers as expected by 2027. :sneaky:

Therefore, I can think of other black swan events which have a stronger possibility than War between the United States and Canada (e.g. meteorite smashing into Earth...destroying everything except for microbes).

In the mean time, the biggest worry for the United States involving Canada is to find a way to beat Canada in it's game of Hockey by the next winter Olympics if the two teams were to meet.

Trudeau is putting Canadian Gold Cards on Ebay with bids starting at $1000 and no reserve.

I'm high bidder on one at $2175 with 3 hours to go... and hell, all I wanted was to go fishing up there for a weekend. Now I might be a citizen!
