I really don't know what Canada you live in
45% of Canadians are first or second generation immigrants who moved from their sht hole third world countries for purely economic reasons and have big fat zero loyalty to entity called canada and whose only concern is price of their house if they you are lucky to have one

This isn't true at all. I have no idea why you think posting absolute garbage on here is something worthwhile.

The majority of immigrants to Canada come from India, Philippines, and China.

The majority of immigrants to the United States come from Mexico, India, Philippines, and China.

The United States has a significantly larger immigrant population than Canada...with Canada having a larger immigrant population per 100,000...about 23% to contrast the United States about 14% of the population are immigrants.

That would imply that the United States immigrants moved from shit hole third world countries for purely economic reasons and have a big fat zero loyalty to entity called the United States...using your logic.

What did Trump say about them???

    They're poisoning our blood.

Regardless, most immigrants prefer Canada than the United States for reasons like access to Universal Healthcare, streamlined immigration support, longterm immigration support, cultural diversity, safer communities (less violent crime), more education support, lower education costs, lower cost of living, and better support during global crisis (e.g. Pandemic).

The downside but not much of one is for Canada to do the above, citizens pay higher taxes than citizens in the United States.

Another way to look at this...more Americans are leaving the United States than Canadians leaving Canada along with more Americans searching online about how to move to Canada versus Canadians searching online about how to move to the United States. :D

The Trump administration is now seizing and locking up Canadians at the border for no reason whatsoever. Well, beyond supporting the prison companies that donated heavily to him.

I’m the Canadian who was detained by Ice for two weeks. It felt like I had been kidnapped
I was stuck in a freezing cell without explanation despite eventually having lawyers and media attention. Yet, compared with others, I was lucky

Interesting, Canada could have 26 states and 52 US senators.

What country are you located and using their healthcare?

If I'm not mistaken, I believe you once stated you had lived in the Toronto area when you were younger but implied you no longer live in Canada.

With that said, please keep in my that my primary residence is here in Quebec, Canada. I also live in the United States and France depending on the time of the year. Yes, it's much easier to immigrate to Canada in comparison to someone immigrating to the United States or France.

For Americans, some top countries to consider for immigration include Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, known for their quality of life, safety, and economic opportunities.

    Immigration-Easy-Countiries-Americans.png

Canada's immigration system is designed to attract immigrants. I believe they have a quota to meet to ensure skilled workers, family reunification, education, businesses are able to come to Canada.

When you said immigrants come to Canada - ...for purely economic reasons...

There's a immigration survey that overwhelmingly list:

    #1 - Strong economic opportunities
    #2 - A high quality of life
#3 - Access to universal healthcare
    #4 - A multicultural society
    #5 - Family reunification
    #6 - Humanitarian needs
    #7 - DLIs Education

Yet, you stated "purely economic reasons" (your exact words) and that is a lie. The question for you to answer...what's your agenda for lying?

Seriously, it serves no purpose when the info is easily obtained from Google, contacting Canada's immigration office, or answering the questions in the Express Entry Profile...the latter was called a different name when I immigrated.

Further, the U.S. Embassy have their own statistics...access to Universal Healthcare is in the top 5 reasons for why immigrants and U.S. military veterans immigrate to Canada.

By the way, when you say "nobody immigrate to canada because of universal healthcare because healthcare in canada is a complete garbage even by third world standards" (your exact words)...

That is also another lie by you. For example, I myself often talk about why I immigrated to Canada its because I grew up in a U.S. military family in Kentucky and our healthcare is called the VA Healthcare system...it is a form of universal healthcare system for active duty military families and veterans although I sometimes call it the largest social welfare system in the United States.

Later, soon after college, I became a U.S. military soldier and after that...I'm now a U.S. military veteran who still enjoys using the VA Healthcare system whenever I'm traveling in the United States.

Further, my mother is from France and she's very use to a universal healthcare system. Therefore, my decision to immigrate to Canada after leaving the U.S. military was an easy decision because Canada has Universal Healthcare and I could be close to my relatives in the United States.

At the time I immigrated to Canada...their Universal Healthcare was ranked #6 in the world and on the top-tier performer list.

You now know at least one person (that's me) who immigrated to Canada with Universal Healthcare at the top of the list among other reasons (e.g. quality of life, french language, raising a family, outdoor/skiing/rowing/hunting).

In addition, you mentioned your own personal story without giving any details when you stated I personally would be dead for good 10 years if I relied on Canadian healthcare.

Here's my personal experience with Canada's Universal Healthcare that I've often discussed here at the forum since December of 2016...Canada's Universal Healthcare saved my life when I collapsed into coma while on vacation in another country (France) because Canada got involved with France Embassy and the U.S. Embassy (I'm a citizen of the United States, France and Canada)...

My doctor in Canada had me medivac back to Canada because the treatment I needed wasn't available in France. In fact, it's not uncommon for other countries to fly patients to Canada for advanced specialized treatment.

While I was on "Life Support"...my heart stopped twice and they discover I was allergic to the medication I was given in France. It's the reason for my heart stopping once in flight while being medivac and once again at the hospital in Canada upon arrival to the ICU.

Almost two months in the coma and followed by many months of rehab, I've made a full recovery.

Next, Covid Pandemic hits...the same doctor discovers that two of the available three Covid vaccines contains two ingredients I'm allergic to...the same ingredients that stopped my heart twice when I was given medication while in a Coma back in the fall of 2016.

Simply, a heads up by my Canadian Doctor prevented me from getting vaccinated with any of those two vaccines (Pfirzer and J&J) and recommended I can only be vaccinated with Moderna. A few weeks later I was vaccinated with Moderna and later boosted with Moderna.

That's my personal healthcare history that I've documented here at this forum soon after being released from the hospital unlike your "no detail" personal experience.

Today, Canada's Universal Healthcare is ranked any where between 7th to 10th depending upon which healthcare index ranking you use.

Commonwealth Fund: In 2023, the Commonwealth Fund survey ranked Canada's healthcare system 9th out of 11 high-income countries, based on access to care, care process, administrative efficiency, equity, and health outcomes.

    Global Burden of Disease Study:
A recent analysis from the Global Burden of Disease Study showed that Canada was in the top 10% of the 195 countries compared on the Healthcare Access and Quality Index.

    World Index of Healthcare Innovation:
In 2024, Canada ranked 18th in the World Index of Healthcare Innovation, improving from 25th in 2022.

Other studies: Some studies show Canada as 7th in overall health-system achievement and 10th in terms of health spending, but falling to 30th when these two measures are combined because the methodology considers what could be achieved in a country given the level of resources available.

    Specific Areas:
Canada performs well in areas like efficiency, productivity, and attaining health system goals, but has room for improvement in areas related to disability-adjusted life expectancy, potential years of life lost, obesity, diabetes, female lung cancer, and infant mortality.

    Access to Primary Care:
Some reports suggest that Canada ranks last in primary healthcare access among 10 wealthy countries.

Canada is currently in a crisis with it's primary care (first Doctor/Family Doctor) contact. Average wait time to make that first contact with the family doctor is about 30 weeks except for private Doctors...specialty wait times about 4.5 weeks.

Universal Healthcare Coverage: According to a report published by the World Health Organization in 2023, Canada scores 91 out of 100 points in the Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

You mentioned "immigrants being racist" as some sort'uv addon to your dislike that I never discussed in this thread. Therefore, growing up in the United States...I'm use to racists and how to deal with them regardless of where they are from. Same in Canada.

The difference is that I've come across more racists in the United States than here in Canada. Social Progress Index ranked Canada 6th in the world for overall tolerance and inclusion while the United States is ranked around 28th.

Simply, being a citizen of three different countries with homes in each country along with parents born from different countries along with serving in the U.S. military with a spouse (West Point Alumni) who is also served in the U.S. military and is a citizen of three different countries...

Our healthcare experience and that of our children here in Canada has been excellent but I do understand that your healthcare experience in Canada is different from ours and different from the global healthcare ranking indexes mentioned above.

As you can see I do a lot of comparisons between the United States and Canada...less so with France. My experience with the VA Healthcare system is up there with Canada's Healthcare system while the U.S. Healthcare for other Americans is shitty in comparison because I have a few relatives who almost died from treated at a regular hospital and then they get an outrageous +100 thousand medical bill.

Using the VA Hospital Healthcare and Canada's Universal Healthcare...I've never been charged a single penny but there is a flaw in Canada's Healthcare - Dental and Eyecare coverage for Adults

It's not free until I believe is 65 years old. I'm in my late 50s...I do have private healthcare insurance in Canada and the United States to cover my Dental and Eyecare. Also, the VA Healthcare does not cover Dental unless its service related.

Last of all, I'm a member of group of U.S. military veterans who have immigrated to Canada. Everyone of them have the same excellent experience in Canadian hospitals and we often compare it to the VA Healthcare in the United States and how both are very different (better performance) than the traditional healthcare in the United States.

I'll ask again, what country are you located and using their healthcare?
