Like Trump, he has no ability to handle any blowback on his aggressive comments on this site. And I do think Americans who voted for Trump deserve some pain to remind them why you really shouldn't take this path. Won't be long before key economic numbers start reflecting the damage to the US economy. So many people losing their jobs due directly to Trump decisions. Reminds of the poor souls who denied Covid right up until the moment they were fighting for survival.

Spain is an unusual case because it was under the Franco Fascist regeim until his death in 1975 and they have been making up for those dark ages all this time. Where the US red states are going.. A fascist theocracy, Portugal was in a similar boat.

That's said I drove around Madrid a lot and over to Barcelona seemed OK to me on my last trip. South is likely rough. My wife started getting pissed off with me commenting on how people walked in a fairly organised manned in the streets and moved mostly in the same direction flow in supermarkets, like they weren't just morons... Colombia and Panamá.

    Civilisation is nice.

    Canada will be fine.

Good, I've met Mark forever ago just before he took the Bank of England gig. Thankfully Carney is just the anglicised version of O'Cearnaigh so his hands are normal size.

HIs PhD was substantially involving game theory if I recall? Likely useful.

What part of Spain were you in? I visited Bilbao and Barcelona in 2019 and didn't see any "30 year old infrastructure". Bilbao was amazing. Barcelona is def a world class city. Both clean, safe cities with everything in a walkable distance. Food was amazing.

Guess again. Carney was one of the most successful central bankers when 2008/2009 hit. Canada weathered that storm way better then the US did and our national debt vs yours still reflects that reality. We elected a rational 59 year old with an excellent track record. You elected an old man with clear mental health issues and a track record of bankruptcies.

Just LOL. You are so delusional it's funny.
