Hopefully, with that crap off the shelves...Canadians are forced to drink REAL whisky. Then, there will be no going back once you taste the difference.
What if we Americans formed a 30 million caravan and crossed into Canada illegally. Would you be happy? It is about logistics not racism but you cannot get that through your brain.
I have enjoyed watching the two of you guys debate. I agree that its not really racist to simply want to be around your own people. This in embedded in our genes after all. I saw an excellent meme that said something along the lines of it being ok for all other cultures to want to be around white people, hence why they come to Canada or other European countries, but the minute white people say they want to be around other white people, this is somehow wrong. I do think that at this point now, there is a force pushing for "integration" because it leads to destabilization. Its also kind of funny that nobody is attacking non-white countries for not integrating. The integration only works one way and against only one culture. But on the tariff issue Volpri, I do think you are wrong. US is of course much stronger than Canada, but I'd say that China is actually on top. Their population will much better handle a lower quality of life, and they are best prepared to produce or buy whatever they need. I think its a pipe dream for the US to assume that is can survive without cheap imports. Look at the riots that start simply because someone doesn't get enough chicken nuggets in their meal. They literally tear the entire fast food restaurant down. How are you going to get the US population to accept much higher prices for every day items? There is simply no way to re-shore products of every day items. A pair of underwear will cost $50 if it has to be made in the US by a US worker. Self reliance is important for the individual, and also for countries as well. So Trump isn't wrong in wanting to strengthen US production, but the years of pain will be too much. Plus, the US isn't in a position fiscally to support this transition. Trump is biting the hand that feeds him. US treasuries have been weaponized, and with the US attacking everyone, dumping USTs is I think a viable path. The message seems clear to me, and the rest of the world should be working on trade outside of US influence and the USD. If everyone else manages to do this, the US will be in a world of hurt before its able to become self reliant, even though they do have all the necessary resources at home.
Well, fortunately I live in the world centre of WHISKY..so no need, not that I'd have anything against living in Canada.
