i don’t know. i believe the 25% is effective tomorrow, reciprocal tax is april, only today’s 50% is paused until negotiation finishes.
Trump now knows what the United States is dependent on from one province name Ontario. His staff is now schooling him about the specific resources from each of the other provinces while educating Trump about the power of each provincial Premier's. Trump now knows that "Conservatives" like Doug Ford are very different than "Conservatives" in the United States being led by a political party flip-flopper. Poilievre or Carney...regardless who wins the October federal election, may not need to do anything after the provincial Premier's take turns like a tag team in flexing their muscles in defending all of Canada. I think Alberta (largest source of crude oil exports to the U.S.) or maybe British Columbia (largest source of lumber exports to the U.S.) is next in the tag team...both provinces have promised to work with Trump but at the same time to be "tough on Trump" and his tariffs. wrbtrader
You post a lot of bs while Trump scrambles to deal with Canada's direct attack on his tariff policies. You are too stupid to understand any of it. There is no appeasement from Canada, just a direct message that you fk around with us we will fk you up.
Trump said he doesn't need anything from Canada. That would include electricity, auto parts, heavy oil, potash, metals ... . Yet he whines about tariffs on stuff he supposedly doesn't need. If you don't need the goods the tariffs don't matter.
Now Trump wants free trade with Canada like merger of sorts. Must be fun dealing with Trump, first he tries to run you over then he wants to dance.
