I am a conservative in the Russell Kirk sense, but i have nothing but disdain for the anti-intellectual, religious nut cases that have taken over the U.S. executive branch. These folks are very far indeed from the conservative philosophy i was brought up with. Their ideology is misleading and dangerous in my view.

  3. You're kidding, right?

His oldest most important backer is on trial in Chicago for corruption as we speak. Google rezko obama and you'll get almost a million hits. The part of Rezko that haunts Obama is the seemingly obvious bribe that went to Obama in the form of a reduced price on Obama's mansion.

Obama's "spirtual advisor" we all know about.

As a member of the Illinois Senate and the U.S. Senate he's never accomplished a single thing.

Other than being black(ish) and articulate he'd be a non-starter for higher office.

  4. It's pretty funny to see the extreme right on here taking the moral high ground when it comes to one of the Dems making a few bucks on an insider deal once they got into office. Nope, no Republican has ever done anything like that, ever. Never in the history of the country has any Republican ever done anything even remotely close to this.

You right wing extremists should stick to the Reverend Wright story - it has way more play than the Rezko thing.

Pabst, the idea of a black man in the Oval Office must just be a fucking nightmare for someone like you, who has trumpeted his hatred and fear of black men on these boards for the past 4 years.

You should in fact be praying for an Obama win, as it would ensure a McCain Presidency.

He said last week he was not aware of pastor Wright's extreme viewpoints until after he had declared his presidential aspirations. But in his speech yesterday he admitted that he knew all along.

But it is obvious that he knew - how could he not?!? How could he go to a church filled with rabid racists and America haters (the congregation cheers every hate-filled remark by Wright) for twenty years and not know?
