There is no such thing as a so-called easy/instant 'Holy Grail Trading System'...that sounds so gimmicky and marketey...that only schmucks would consider buying. I know it may seem like there is such a thing...if you're on the outside looking in...at someone's successes. But I assure you, there are constantly inherently alot of risks lingering. Not easy, to say the least. It takes either a skilled trader, and/or a trader with alot of balls, and/or luck to pull that off. your reward (and loss) in the market is more or less directly proportional to the risks you are willing to take on.
Thats a very bizarre comment, and harsh too, its certainly bad judgement, maybe you were in a bad mood at the time. I know that J_S has been on this site and others for many years under various names.
Such trading systems are not done by traders making decisions and trading but by advanced and very specialized software like SVM and DL. Those that do exist are not discussed on Elite Trader...or anywhere else publically.
Would you happen to know what are the % returns these special futuristic machines produce There's nothing new under the sun in finance...I'm a pessimists believer in anything new...especially if it's regarded as anything near a Holy Grail.. Mazel tov
I would never admit to knowing anything about any mathematician from a from a leading university who after lecturing about the theoretical basis for using new methods, paradigms, software systems in a systems approach to automated investment management, to the point of becoming something of a "figure" on the lecture circuit at academic economic conferences and symposia who might have abruptly resigned his tenured position in the middle of the academic year, withdrew his just submitted papers from consideration by some leading economic journal, attempted to get other papers he wrote removed from several university libraries and vanished only to be rumored to now reside in an unnamed tax haven island nation where he guides dark pools.....nope I can't admit to knowing anything about that or anything like that. Any such story must be a myth as we all know that anyone who would create anything like that is immediately obligated both morally and legally to post the details with screenshots on Elite Trader and to both ask people what they think about it, answer questions from a range of readers and then offer to sell the algos to some guy in his 30s that still lives in his mother's basement.
