You do not need a vacation, you need a sabbatical. You need a new goal, something else to work for. If you have so much money that you do not need that as a goal, than find another goal. good luck
Put that extra cash in separate investment account and start over. The bio of Jesse Livermore seems to reveal the same pattern. When he was a working trader he did great. But when he attianed the wealthy investor status he would make mistakes.
"Give me ALL YOUR MONEY, except for 30K, and then try to make a living on your newly improved small account" Don't bother, I spent it all And I am trading the company's money btw. It's funny, but since Gotta Trade's comment on not fearing if it will come back or not, I don't worry about it any longer. The comment was right on the butt. My original goals were fulfilled partially. You can make a lot of money, or a LOT That's why I don't want to give up on trading. And, I must say, I am having a blast doing it! Even if I going through a difficult period.
Ramoutar: I don't know, because I remember it also involved a lot of work and sacrifice.. But I trust it will come back.
Interesting thing is: I am reading Goleman's Emotional Intelligence and it says to be in a state of flow (the most productive state) doesn't feel like work at all!
Since my father passed away, I have lost my drive completely. A big reason to break Larry Williams record was probably to show my father that I was good in trading; a profession that was not taken seriously by an academic like my father. Anyway, to all of you, who still have their parents ; Tell them that you love them and show it while they are still alive. I only had the courage to say it when he was under the morfine... When somebody who is precious to you, passes away, you realize how worthless money is in comparison. Time heals the wounds......they say......
