A Day In An Investors Life- A lot of folks ask how do you do it? I say it's not easy believe me you have to be thinking all the time even in the bath. On the toilet everywhere you're just gobbling up information and then spitting it into a tissue and flushing it. There is no beginning there is no end. What to do today? Scanning my watch list and other names.. I find it rather strange that Chinese play BZUN went up yesterday. It's been going down with the China vs Trump trade war and why not BZUN provides backbone internet stuff and brand awareness for US companies that wish to enter China. One could ask could any area of investing be more at risk? Yet the stock went up yesterday and is now $41.00. This is a good price normally and this is one of the Chinese companies that really has earnings and looks groovy; it's been recommended numerous times at outfits like Motley Fool they have the kind of actual numbers that appeals to financial writers. If we had the stomach for all these tweets and threats and vague promises and outright lies we might take a stand with this Chinese Co. IDEA One: BZUN. Data Center REITS I like the group and have used several in the past. One that I have known about for a while is Cyrus One. CONE. I've shied away because it gives not the greatest yield 3+% but the price action can be good. The stock is in a strong uptrend and has not really been affected by the sell off. Move from $58 to $61. In fact in just the last month it has gone from $56 to $61! While everything else is diving. This attracts me. CONE has a 52 week high of $69. IDEA TWO CONE. Face Kick Section** Why I Continue To Like URGN despite getting my face kicked in)- A) The Company remains on track to complete its rolling NDA for UGN-101 in 2H 2019 and is planning for approval in 1H 2020. If approved, UGN-101 would be the first drug approved for the non-surgical treatment of LG UTUC. Full data is planned for 2H 2019. There are currently no drugs approved by the FDA as first-line treatment for LG NMIBC. UGN-102 represents a substantial opportunity in UroGen’s pipeline and has the potential to be a treatment option for up to approximately 80,000 patients for whom repetitive surgical resection via Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor (TURBT) remains the standard of care. As of March 31, 2019, cash and cash equivalents totaled $246.7 million. This includes net proceeds of approximately $161.4 million from a public offering of ordinary shares in January 2019. UGN-101 Clinical Development: At the 114thAmerican Urological Association (AUA) Annual Meeting in Chicago, Seth Lerner, M.D. delivered a presentation during the plenary session that highlighted the unmet need and potential for UGN-101 to change the treatment paradigm for patients with LG UTUC. The updated analysis demonstrated that in the OLYMPUS intent-to-treat population, 71 patients had undergone primary disease evaluation (PDE) at the time of the analysis and 42 of the 71 patients (59 percent) achieved a complete response (CR). Forty-one patients entered follow-up. At the time of the analysis, 27 patients underwent a six-month evaluation, and 24 out of 27 patients (89 percent) have remained disease free at six months. The most common adverse events observed were urinary tract infection, ureteral narrowing and stricture formation. The majority of ureteral events were reported as mild to moderate and have resolved. “The accomplishments and performance of UroGen during the first quarter have set the stage for a pivotal and exciting year ahead as we prepare for the potential approval and commercialization of UGN-101, our first investigational candidate. Our top priority remains completion of our rolling New Drug Application (NDA) for UGN-101 for the treatment of patients with low-grade upper tract urothelial cancer (LG UTUC) and, with our commercial preparations well underway, we are confident in our readiness to deliver on a strong launch in the first half of 2020,” said Liz Barrett, President and Chief Executive Officer of UroGen. This Could Be A Double down situation for me and the portfolio because The Co is executing it seems they have a GREAT LEAD candidate (59% complete response) and the cash to bring it to market. All they need is a good newsletter to start pumping them! They may be a year behind or I may of been a year early but I feel this unknown Biotech from Israel is onto something. As I remember I paid about $50 - $56 a share and now we sit here today at $38. IDEA #3 Double Down on Urogen. Later Today Pt 2 of my Kick In The Face series-- The Green Organic Dutchman-- why he no dance for me? ~stoney
Hey Stoney... I know you love your biotech, but whilst you're decompressing poolside, enjoying the ever warmer days and the life giving sunshine raining down as mother nature once again renews.... do me a favor and do some brainstorming for some back-door plays in what I predict will be Wall Street's next tulip-mania. Right up there with last year's weed stocks and the prior year's cryptos. Its going to come in fast Stoney. Oh there are already rumblings, but the media frenzy has not yet kicked in. But it will. And the herd is going to pile on and jump in in a big way. FOMO will be alive and well. What is it(?) you ask. Play by play sports gambling brother. While we all know its coming, I'm not sure the Street and the media appreciates just how big this is going to be. We're talking mammoth. Its going to be huge. Huge. From Boomers to Millennial's. All sports... every day... every play. 24/7 fun right there in the palm of your hand. Crack cocaine. So there's the obvious plays... but it takes the mind of one like SI to find the 5-baggers. ... enjoy your day Stoney.
The sports gambling seems the easy way out for State's but I cringe at the commercials which offer free give your money back bets etc. Of course you have to deposit more than that amount and you are sure to lose the rest. Apparently NJ has the sports gambling and they are very upset at some rich Republican backer Shelby Sitherstein...? I forget the one but he owns casinos I believe and he has put some kabosh on the whole set up. He has Trump's ear. Morally I just don't like the idea of watching a football game and betting throughout he game from your seat. Maybe I have to get over that but it's part of the destroying of America. Just like getting people to not love their cars anymore it's all calculated to some degree. Your team sucks- well bet on this... I would think DraftKings the IPo whenever it comes would be the play. For some reason I see this vague holding company associated with the concept Platinum Eagle Acquisition Corp and I wonder if here isn't a reverse merger sort of thing that could happen perhaps with Fanduel... I'll have to work on this but note- CEO of Platinum Eagle Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:EAGL) Jeffrey Sagansky bought 50,000 shares of EAGL on 02/27/2019 at an average price of $10.14 a share.<---- - So we have put in an order for URGN. - We are hovering around CONE 4 carefully being watched. -<<2019 SUMMER ELITE TRADING PORTFOLIO>>- IRDM.- Hold over satellite co from last years ET Poortfolio URGN.- Bought Again Today Hoping things turn finally for this urinary Bio Co! From Israel. TGODF.- Hold over co from last years ET Portfolio. Organic herb the way I personally like it-- outdoors and pure no spray, this is a Canadian Pot Company fulfilling a niche. SNY.- Sony holding for better times and new Playstation roll out. This was on last years list SPOT.- Same thing Holding until it wakes up! LITE.- Lumentum Holdings Inc. I have held this stock for over a year not sure why. I have in the past owned this stock and one of these days I'm going to make some money on it. It was a 3D play an Apple play a virtual reality play and a augmented reality play -- all these virtual worlds that haven't really developed. But LITE does a lot more than that they are ina lot of fieds and I think Apple weighs on this stock. LITE manufactures and sells optical and photonic products in the Americas, the Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The company operates through two segments, Optical Communications and Commercial Lasers. The Optical Communications segment offers components, modules, and subsystems that enable the transmission and transport of video, audio, and text data over high-capacity fiber optic cables. The Commercial Lasers segment offers diode-pumped solid-state, fiber, diode, direct-diode, and gas lasers for use in original equipment manufacturer applications. It serves customers in markets and applications, such as sheet metal processing, general manufacturing, biotechnology, graphics and imaging, and remote sensing, as well as in precision machining, such as drilling in printed circuit boards, wafer singulation, glass cutting, and solar cell scribing. Is this finally the real Break Out! That's 9 names so far I need ONE more. & I am LOOKING AT- SITE/MBUU/CONE/NGM/BZUN/NIU/SHAK.
Good Morning Shareholders! Free Thought Moment-- The additional stocks I would like to buy and must choose at least one from are an eclectic bunch. There are two china plays one more dangerous than the other. NIU is electric scooters and BZUN is Internet identity and presence, sales assistance for large corporations. SITE is the kind of company that can make you a lot of money. They are a aggregator a buyer of other companies in their field a very desperate and spread out family owned field... in this case we are talking about wholesale agriculture, garden and landscaping stuff. The largest company just keeps rolling along, buying other smaller players and folding their earnings int the fold. it's an unstoppable force akin to POOL a recommendation I made here years ago at I believe $60 it's gone to the moon. These mid sized powerhouses with this business plan- they tend to work out. I like SITE very much but it has a 20% short position and in this hectic market i have been unable to bring myself to buy it. I'm trying to decide if Long term here is 3 weeks or the usual 1 year... NGM we talked about I think we have time there. SHAK is darn expensive but they too have a plan a roll out new store plan that pretty much ensures earnings so Shake Shak is a safe bet here and good for an IRA I think, they have no China exposure... in a safe area at home here food.. but if the whole market gets a new PE Shak will get busted up good. If only it had a lower PE! CONE is the data center REIT and lastly Malibu Boats! MBUU... Sometimes you can hit these symbols into the search here and find me giving away these ideas at far lower prices! Dear MBUU I owned at $19... If only I had held it So mad at myself. This is a co that rides the tails of the US economy so when times are tough no one buys a boat and when times are good the boat sales are large. Anyway the Co is hitting on all it's boat pistons and although I fancied myself so smart selling out at a double around $22 the stock is now $41!! It's not usually the best idea to buy a stock because you are mad you ever sold it but in the case of MBUU I may have to step in. There's One More Stock i want to highlight it's an upcoming IPO!!!! I haven't bought an IPO in years I'm really itching to with all these names coming to market... but of the course the one that attracts me is a biotech they go after cancer, they were founded bu someone who was a fancy thinker... I forget exactly what award he won.. they have a famous lab guy and the strange name of Bicycle. Bicycle Therapeutics has filed proposed terms for its U.S. IPO. The firm is advancing a pipeline of treatment candidates for various cancers. BCYC has several commercial collaborators, a strong investor base, and the IPO appears reasonably priced. Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) intends to raise $65 million from an IPO of ADSs, The company is developing a pipeline of treatment candidates for cancers from its proprietary ‘bicycle’ technology. Cambridge, UK-based Bicycle Therapeutics was founded in 2009 to discover novel therapeutics that combine the pharmacology usually associated with a large and complex drug with the manufacturing and pharmacokinetics of a small molecule one, which it refers to as Bicycles. Management is headed by Kevin Lee, who has been with the firm since 2015 and was previously Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of the Rare Disease Research Unit at Pfizer (PFE). Based on monoclonal antibodies science conducted by Sir Greg Winter<-- I think this is the smart dude and Professor Christian Heinis,<-- or him! “Bicycles are fully synthetic short peptides constrained to form two loops which stabilize their structural geometry” with a large binding surface area which improves their selectivity. Part of this is just instinct. Part of this the name of the co... I've just got a hunch that Bicycle is going to be an investment we can all pedal away with. Alright lets get to work! ~stoney
Hi stoney, Hey you might want to do a Google search on Sony. The ceo announced some mega buyback last night. Like 15% of the shares outstanding or something crazy like that. I think if those Japanese ceo's don't perform they have to like sword themselves... so he's under a little pressure. Should be good for the portfolio. edit: here ya go. 5% https://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2019/05/16/business/16reuters-sony-buyback.html

BZUN. TODAY'S WATCH: BZUN, CONE, BCYC Other) MBUU & SITE & NGM *Also adding RNG
For the ones out there looking to get into the business of investing from home. Things change. After my morning research I have a pipe or two and everything looks different. China? Too risky at any time. A Cloud based REIT... quite possibly but in the IRA... A IPO in this market... too risky... But boy oh boy would I love a boat ride.! Malibu Boats is a value name to me... a PE of 11-14 as I remember these guys make money. And it's summer It's time to buy something summer related... people buy boats for the summer that should show up on later earnings reports... But what of the consumer sentiment driving this stock from value into growth-? Malibu Boats, Inc.MBUU designs, manufactures, distributes, markets, and sells recreational powerboats. The company currently has a Zacks Rank #1. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for its current-year earnings has climbed 4.6% over the past 60 days. The company’s expected earnings growth rate for the current year is 40% compared with the Leisure and Recreation Products industry’s projected rise of 12.1%. Woa hold up...! 40% growth PE of 14 THAT's stonedinvesting! I'm going to go MBUU I think at the open... I feel there is a $3 capture here for short term traders and a double for those of you willing to hold a year.~stoney
Watching Stocks That Hold Up Great- That idea could have it's own thread here at ET! That is one of the tricks of investing - spotting relative out performance... Here are a few I have spotted. A) RNG. I don't really understand what this company does. I've read the earings reports and read their profile and still I'm not quite sure. I have a feeling this was a call center in the 80's and has magically turned into-- A co that provides software-as-a-service solutions that enable businesses to communicate, collaborate, and connect primarily in North America. The company's products include RingCentral Office, provides communication and collaboration across various modes, including high-definition voice, video, SMS, messaging and collaboration, conferencing, online meetings, and fax through smartphones, tablets, PCs, and desk phones; RingCentral Professional, a cloud based virtual telephone service for professionals like me! Still not quite sure.. But what i do know is this stock must be frequently purchased by hedge funds it moves like a rocket when it's going up. I chart the old fashioned way i write down on a yellow pad a price and come back in a few days and plot again, I'm used to seeing small moves but over the years plotting RNG at various times I have been surprised and dare I say alarmed by the velocity this stock can move at- $114 one day $122 the next. RNG currently $121.
