    Successful trade or successful trader?

A successful trade is simply the trade which brings profits.
    and
a successful trader obviously is the one who can earn stable profits in the market.

  2. Capital preservation and being able to prolong your participation in the markets you are trading. Traders will always have their winning days and losing days. That doesn't define you as a successful trader though. I think what really defines a successful trader is being able to stay in the game and keeping the capital you start with. And maybe making gains on those winning trades and being able to preserve those gains as well. Usually it seems like a disciplined trader is a successful trader.
