Can you choose what leverage to use before each trade?

  1. Fxview is flexible in the sense that there are different leverage ratios for trading different currency pairs, highest is given to major ones, then minor and exotic. I think it might be the same with other brokers as well.

But isn't more leverage more risky?

  3. I think you guys are diverting from the topic. It is not possible to change leverage before every trade. Period.

    No, you can't.

BUT you can choose how much to fund your trading account.
And you can choose how many lots for each trade.

The higher the leverage, the lower the amount of money
you need to fund your trading account.

  6. The best option is to not use leverage at all. Simple :)

high leverage is similar to a sharp knife.

    those are not dangerous.

We just need to know how to use it carefully.

  8. Not so much. For someone like me who started with a 1000 USD with pepperstone and fxview would not have been able to have a trading balance today of almost 15k had it not been for leverage.

  9. Leverage is determined by the broker and I don’t think you can change it like that. I suggest you try to familiarise yourself with the terminology and take some courses to understand the basics of forex. This will help you a great deal. I prefer trading with a broker as per the leverage they offer. For now, I’m trading with XM and Fxview, and they are pretty good with commissions, spreads, leverage.

Each broker offers its own leverage and in order to choose it, you must have an understanding of how it works, why it is offered and what can come of it
