Seriously, it feels like the only ones trading are the specialists and the traders. Once in a while you see real buyers and sellers, but either the specialist keeps the spread about 50 cents or the traders hack the hell out of the trade. I think I'm gonna take august off and just bartend or wait tables cause this is churning season to the fullest.
IMHO, The fact that you can keep your perspective is good. If trading is not being good to you, and you have the capacity to go and take a break from it and come back, you have an edge. Best of luck. nitro
Better to take a vacation in Summer, or swing trade . I think I will go backpacking in the South of France in August. I am long SPY since 10:40 and it's going nowhere, took a shower, now I think I 'll go for a walk
My two cents: don't know your style, but I believe swing traders can do almost as well if they are a little more selective right now. There are bargains: I just sold RYAAY today for 42.30 after getting it for 40.10 yesterday. The market is going into its typical indecision mode, but even so, that's playable.
I just want it to be september. I was hoping that july would be like last month's but unfortunately this has been my worst month yet. I finally started being net positive consistently in june and once this week hit, it has become near impossible for me to do the same. Our office isnt doing too well either. It's just plain boring most of the time. I'm bringing in my PS2 next week. BTW, did any of you notice how CNBC is seriously running out of financial news to report? I mean today they spent half the time reporting about a hot dog contest, the Jag from the Bond movie and worthless news like that. P.S. we scalp NYSE listed so trading vs the specialist is the worst for us
