The gap up this week looks it could show island reversal on the NGU weekly if they don't fill it.

    Interesting oil / NG relationship.

    Two points for today:

    1) my faith in the market as being completely random and not sooo obviously manipulated is restored. that doesn't make it any more easily tradeable; (in fact makes it more difficult)

    2) the big one with potential that everyone says caused yesterday's short covering disappointed the bulls:

A WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE IS
CENTERED ABOUT 600 MILES EAST OF THE SOUTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS AND
IS MOVING WESTWARD AROUND 10 TO 15 MPH. ALTHOUGH THIS SYSTEM HAS
BECOME LESS ORGANIZED OVER THE PAST FEW HOURS...IT STILL HAS THE
POTENTIAL TO BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF
    DAYS.

Thats pretty aggressive selling - market players are acting like there is nothing to potentially follow !!!

I am back in bear mode.

Don't think I ever came out but I did think they might try to prop it up for a few days at least.

  5. AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE IS CENTERED
ABOUT 485 MILES EAST OF THE SOUTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS. ALTHOUGH THE
    SHOWER ACTIVITY IS CURRENTLY DISORGANIZED...ENVIRONMENTAL
CONDITIONS APPEAR TO BE FAVORABLE FOR A TROPICAL DEPRESSION TO FORM
DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS...AS THE SYSTEM MOVES WESTWARD AT 10
TO 15 MPH. AN AIR FORCE PLANE IS SCHEDULED TO INVESTIGATE THE
    SYSTEM ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...IF NECESSARY.

Just for shits and giggles the language changed. Shouldn't ng be up 25c now? hahah.

by the way, with the stakes these hedge funds have in their bets, you'd think they'd foot the bill and fly their own private plane into the storm system tonight.

Got spooked yesterday, but managed to lower my avg price by 11 cents (could've done better if my nerves were made of steel).. I think this thing needs some weather premium, no? Besides 99L, some talk about disturbance brewing in the gulf..

How about a rec for a good wx blog anyone? There are so many, would like to know who is noteworthy.

    Still long, Commanche?

    cheers

  9. Russia continues to nationalize its gas assets, this time russneft.. I wish the continental europeans good luck... you will need it...though GB and Norway will join you soon in some level of dependency on Russia as North Sea output decreases...

My guess is that pipeline access is one major element of how Turkey will gain EU accession. No EU accession, no pipelines through turkey from M.E. and Caucuses... no way to counter Russian domination of natural gas for Europe..

The EU needs to bring Turkey into its fold before Russia, otherwise the EU will become Russia's energy _____

Thanks, I'm in France :) Fortunately, France's energy is mainly based on Nuke. But still, we need the Russian gas...
