Thanks everyone! I have some research to do. But I started with the IB one, thanks so much ZBZB (I am a long time IB customer but I never knew they had one), but I cannot seem to find what I am looking for. All I want is to be able to put in like 10 or 20 symbols or something, set an open up % price increase over prior close, and if it exceeds that let me know. But I'm not seeing that in the IB scanner options. I see where you can select to note for you the biggest open % increases over prior close, but I'm not looking for something like that, I just want to know which of various stocks I am interested in are on the move. I'll have to look at some more. Thanks!!!
Stochcharts.com You would put the charts you want to scan in a chartlist then run the scan on those charts only. Doesn't scan for fundamentals but does a pretty good job with technicals.
Finviz and TradingView. The free versions are useful but the data is delayed unless you subscribe. I use both but subscribe to Finviz. The info is invaluable if you are trading stocks. Unless I'm familiar with a particular stock, I normally do additional research before I engage. A great place to research stocks is at Yahoo Finance. https://finance.yahoo.com Once you enter the symbol you can check for news, and all sorts of relevant info.
If you're willing to pay a fee, Investors Business Daily offers a service called Marketsmith. Some of their tools are really good. https://marketsmith.investors.com/
%% I though thier daily newspaper was worth the fee; + still use those older charts, mainly for ETFs...................... +SPY barchart has some good screens, volume not anywhere accurate some times
Stock Rover is pretty good. I'm doing a 30-day trial now, but I don't think I'm going to pay for the service, since I primarily trade options. It's pretty in-depth though.
