======================= Goood way to measure a stock trend like this; [uptrend] [uptrend] [uptrend] [uptrend] or [downtrend] [downtrend] [downtrend] --------------------------------------------------------------- In other words , some charts have a [screen ] looking like a checkers/chess board; and the prices, like checkers/chess fit in the orderly screen boxes [ grids/boxes.]
A Grid is a set of computers on a network set up in a cluster in such a way where the computation that each computer does is communicated to the rest of the computers on the grid. Any problem that requires lots of computation and can benefit from breaking that problem up into little pieces for parallel computation, can benefit from a grid of computers. Here is a link to some massive (distributed) grids: http://dmoz.org/Computers/Computer_Science/Distributed_Computing/Projects/ http://boinc.berkeley.edu/chart_list.php There is a guy on ET that started making a web site that summarizes some of the famous Grid projects: http://www.hyper.net/dc-howto.html Here is his thread: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61827&perpage=6&highlight=grid&pagenumber=1 nitro
