what kind of trades people make during stock market simulation games. The last game I entered was the Mad Money Challenge, and started with an initial account of $100,000. Most of the games only let you trade once a week, on stocks with a certain level market cap. anyway even with such restrictions I always see others' balances up over 25% in a couple of weeks. Can someone explain to me what kind of research and trades they may be making?

When playing those certain challenges RISK IS 0, so what most do is take the gamble and play any stock with the amount given. Most games wont even allow real time trading so I would say most of it comes down to LUCK.

  3. buy the penny stock(s) that dropped the most, then wait for the recovery. a 10cent stock that drops to 5cents and back up to 8cents is a tiddy profit in fantasy land trading.

  4. It's survivorship bias. Along with some 25% gainers, there's usually going to be some 25% losers too.
