Average volume for ICLR runs around 110K per day. Through the normal market hours, it ran -7% below average volume, and dropped $-1.39, closing at $46.39.

At around 16:29, there was a trade of 170K shares, which pushed the stock up to $47.36, or about $0.97 up. :0

This was a huge volume spike on after hours market.

I can't find any news that might have caused the spike, so I'm guessing some fund liked the price?

Or what - maybe just end-of-month trades for the big boys? Sell little bit by little bit all day to push the price down to buy in bulk in afterhours?

I saw several stocks with huge after hours spikes today similar to this one.....

  2. Sounds like a delayed print. Probably some idiot on the desk forgot to print the trade at the time of execution. Happens all the time. Check the tape to see.
