Can somebody shut up ALAN GREENSPAN?

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by HedgefundTrader2, Dec 16, 2007.

  1. ALAN GREENSPAN should not try to screw financial markets and sway them and jockey them for his own benifit. He is hurting lot more than helping with his yelps. He is hungry for money any which way he can scoop. He doesn't cares what happens to small investors whose accounts were hit today and my own portfolio took a dive down the alley.

IF there is a recession, let it come, but we can't sit in fear, and fear the fear itself.

I wonder how Greenspan would've liked it if an ex-Fed Head was constantly talking about "recession" on his watch?

I bet Bernanke is more sour than anyone about Greenspan. I'm no Bernanke fan, but please, the man has a lot on his shoulders already...the last thing he needs is Greenspan talking the economy and markets down every chance he gets.

    Maybe...maybe not.

But Greenspan's loose monetary policies are largely what got us here. Unless he's going to buck up and admit that, he should keep his trap shut.

  4. Why are you complaining so late?

You should have complained when he brought the interest rates to 1%. There goes the dollar, there goes inflation, there goes a retard buying a home he can't afford.

So he is blaming himself for this crap. What a shocker.

In my mind this guy should have been kicked out long time ago. The age got to him before he departed from the job.

Seriously, WTF 1% interest rate. %^$^***(**@&&@&@....is all I have to say.

this thread should be titled "who had a bad day in the markets". What a bunch of freakin whiners. I'm sure if greenspan's remarks caused the markets to go up you'd be giggling. You people are the same as traders who blame "market maker games" for their losing trades. Face it, you suck, and so does your trading/investing strategy. Don't blame greenspan, blame yourself, and then fix it!

Regarding the tax raising talk, why are there socialists on a message board dedicated to capital markets?

  8. I am not blaming Greenspan for me losing money.
On contraire my friend. I made plenty on the beatiful decline of the dollar.

What I am pissed about...well. I mentioned before. Do not have to repeate it. 1% interest rate come on.

Here we go, the whiner/'deal with it post' from the never losing Master of the Trading Universe.

I am SHORT and have been for some time. Greenspan's remarks were very good to me, BUT I just think Greenspan should STFU.

GreenScam, as the messenger... that "the emperor wears no clothes" is a separate issue from his actions and words while he was in office.

Remember Vladimir Posner, the high profile journalist from Pravda(?) years back? Whenever I saw him on the tube, I wanted to reach inside and grab him by the throat.
When after the collapse of the Soviet Union he was asked why he talked the Communist line on every topic and constantly spouted what we westerners recognized at total horseshit about issue after issue.... he said, "you say what you have to. I have family".

GreenScam did what he did and said what he said because of his office.

Anyone who wants GreenScam to 'STFU' because they are afraid his words might make the market go down is failing to acknowledge that unless there is policy change, it's ALL coming down... big, fast, and hard at some point.

GreenScam deserves a LOT of the blame... but not for speaking out now.
