They can maintain the responsibility to authorize everything, separately. Don't bundle dissimilar items in one authorization. If you are authorizing $10B for a ship, don't add $1M to study green tomatoes in Idaho, and another $100M to build a money temple in Manhattan, that's all. If you did that, the President can only get his %$$##@ ship by allowing you to have your extra money for your pet projects.

  2. The first oil crisis came about when the arabs imposed a boycott in reaction to one of the Israeli wars. They were emboldened to do it because the US was clearly paralyzed by the vietnam situation. In retrospect, we should have sent the military over and seized some of the prime oil fields in Saudi Arabia. Back then we still had the Shah-led Iran as an ally.

Traditionally, a boycott of an essential resource has been considered grounds for war. If we had taken over the Saudi oil fields, we could have ushered in a period of worldwide prosperity and peace, and we would still be reaping the benefits, since al qaeda and radical islam would have never been funded.

  5. LMAO.... and you still don't see that it is all staged?

history repeats itself... the elites told us we would see $100 per barrel oil when it was still in the $30s and they told us back in early 1973 what was going to happen then. miraculously they always seem to be right, go figure.

  7. Yeah, that was hilarious. Iran released the hostages the same day Reagan was sworn in cause he said he'd invade the very next day.

    They completely ignored Carter.

Wow, just goes to show you that no matter how little you think you have in common with someone, there is always something you can agree on.

    McCain -- too old
    Hillary -- too obligated
    Ron Paul -- too impractical
    Obama -- too smart

Have to choose the lesser of the evils.
    Obama in '08!
