    hehe...

    nitro old man,

I don't think "msfe" was trying to insult Nana. After all, we're gentlemen around here, right?

Here is a VERY rough translation of mfse's post:

If you live for a certain amout of time in the Netherlands, you can become a naturalised Dutch citizen. With that you get Dutch nationality indefinitely and you can stay in the Netherlands for as long as you like. You would also have, from that moment on, the same rights and duties as any other Dutch citizen.

It is astonishing that freedom is so poorly understood in the 21st century. But reflection upon mankind's past says I should not be astonished - freedom is apparently a very difficult concept to grasp.

NANA is correct about IRAN and the people liking the West. I dated an Iranian girl all through my undergrad, her family fled IRAN during the IRAN/IRAQ war, when the US was Backing IRAQ, how IRONIQ, anyway......her dad is a very prominet nonatologist, ie, BABY DOCTOR.....he fought against the government of IRAN and was put on the "if you come back we will kill you list" IRAN has. I have a few other Friends from IRAN, one is a trader.

The majority of the women in IRAN, have GUCCI, PRADA cloths under their Religous cover......they go to parties , listen to western music, etc, but when they are out in the streets, religous law rules.

Also, many IRANIAN Jews are still in IRAN and the are very much prowest and proamerican.

So i concure with Nana, in fact if you read ur history, and i know very few in america are well educated, however, IRANIANs are NOT ARABS........big diffence

Iranians speak Farsi not arabic and they are not Arabs by lineage either. A lot of them came to So. Calif. during the Iran-Iraq war. I worked with some highly educated technically talented ones. They seemed to be unpopular in Iran at the time because they were sort of Marxist and Western oriented and not religious. What bothered myself and a lot of others was that many of them complained a lot about the USA. They did not like the culture, the diet (they are right about some of that) and some of them were just miserable to be in the same organization with, way too power hungry, treacherous, obnoxious and self promoting for a lot of us USA people to stand for. They seem to fit in a lot better nowadays, I guess it took some acclimatization time.

We aquired a lot of talented people at that time. One guy I knew, PhD in Electrical Engineering, Iranian, invented our current cell phone system and another one did breakthrough research on A to D conversion and added a couple of bits of resolution, that kind of work gave us the Digital entertainment that we know and love.

  8. The reason for not accepting a citizen of a foreign country can be because of a couple of things.

In most cases it is because the two countries may not have tax treaties with each other. I believe this is the case with Iran.

You can sue, but you'd lose.

  9. Totaly wrong. It has nothing to do with Taxation. secondly
i am not American and i have to fill W-8BEN form only and
i am exempt from paying any tax.

If what you are saying to be true then, all brokers had
to follow this rule, but i have confronted two brokers in
my life that don't accept Iranian account (Two large firms)
and the rest of US brokerage had absolutly no
    broblem accepting me.

It is a precaution in regard to patriot act law that some
brokerages might take and nothing else.
It's all your brokers discretion to decide to open account
for you, not the NASD, NFA, or whomever else.....
