Can I add another video card W/256MB NVIDIA FX3000

  1. I just bought a Dell Precision 650 Dual Xeon system with a 256MB NVIDIA FX3000 - AGP 8x video card(dual AVI output).

    I would like to add a GeCube Radeon X1600PRO 256MB PCI-E x16 Dual-DVI Video Card

This should give me a four monitor output if they will place 'nice' with each other. Any comments before I move forward would be great.

  2. I don’t believe in mixing video card brands if I don’t need too. I never had trouble running 2 fx’s cards at the same time if that helps.

  3. Thanks for your input. I can get a good deal on the one I am looking at. Thats why I would like to add it.

  4. Your motherboard has both AGP and PCI-E slots? That's not very common.

I have had success running nVidia (PCI) and ATI (AGP) together so different manufacturers could work. (But this was on a computer I built, not on a Dell like yours.)

    gnome

Never heard of that, so it's unlikely.

OP will need to get a PCI card which is compatible with his FX.
