He has not relinquished a single business interest of his, nor has he released his tax return. It's safer to assume he's never been more rich considering the taxpayers have refurbished the mar-a-lago (second link, tax payers are paying up to $1MM a day) and he's trying to use his hotels for lobbyists and special interest groups. He was running money through his foundation, and there's no doubt his children are becoming rich on this as well. Just wait for his next book The Art of the Deal 2 if he doesn't get impeached or I Didn't Do It if he does.

The problem with always-Trumpers is nothing they say stands up to even the most infinitesimally small amount of scrutiny.

I've done very well myself, only a slight nagging feeling I'll be enjoying my money in an underground bunker, using it for toilet paper...

(Kidding, I have a fancy Japanese toilet with an automatic ass washer in mine, not risking the plumbing blocking with paper, smart ;) ).

  4. Trump is super sharp for his age. No matter what you may say about him, if he is at the peak of the political pyramid at 70, that is not done by accident.

You completely missed the point of the conversation. Mr. Clacy's argument here was that bureaucrats take a low salary but amass large fortunes by other means.

I'm looking at the ultimate compensation, not salary. Plenty of low salary CEOs taking their income as compensation.

Donations are another scam and I can only chuckle when you bring that up.

  6. I like Trump, I hope he tweets everyday so the markets can move up or down and trade up or down and try to make some money.

It was a joke, ofcourse he is, he might stay like that, even till 90 - 95, if the health allows.

President Trumps "donations" of salary are made to various US agencies, not 501(c) type organizations. Just saying.
