can anti-virus detect keylogger?

  1. I have norton anti-virus, but it seems to unable to detect keylogger programs. Can other AV programs do it? There are some anti-keylogger programs but they are not AV. Do I need to install AV and AK programs?

  2. Did you know that with the right equipment I can read what is currently being displayed on your monitor from miles away? You might want to place your computer system inside a metal cage to shield off EM fields before you start worrying about keystrokes.

  3. BTW - Van Ecking a monitor is limited to a few hundred meters max - not "miles"

Re: key logging vs. virus - totally different animals. AV software isn't likely to detect a key logger program (which has usually been installed through normal (rather than surreptitious) means (they need administrator privileges to hook into the drivers).
