Bullshit... according to your very own poll ( http://education.guardian.co.uk/researchratings/table/0,11229,-4319466,00.html ) it only makes rank 4 for pure maths in the UK, so howz it gonna make the top 10 in the US? As I said, you coudla done better than Oxford...
I can understand your US bias (i am a US citizen also) but there are no rankings which rank international universities in mathematics. You are automatically assuming that US schools would be ranked higher than the UK schools. It may well be that an international ranking would look like this: 1. Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine 5* 2. University of Cambridge 5* 3. University of Edinburgh 5* 4. University of Oxford 5* 5. Harvard 6. Yale 7. Princeton 8. Berkeley 9. Stanford 10. New York University You are assuming an international ranking would look more like this: 1. Harvard 2. Yale 3. Princeton 4. Berkeley 5. Stanford 6. New York University 7. University of Oxford 5* Oxford has a great mathematics program which does compete with the best programs in the world; any nimwit knows that! Thanks for the reply!
That's right....I will not be an undergraduate.... Here is the overall ranking, including undergraduate, if you are interested: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/displayPopup/0,,13373,00.html Thanks
