    ElectricSavant,

    How do you actually use the Camarilla levels to time entry/exit ? It isn't evident from your spreadsheet.

  2. I just tested levet to level without indicators(one poster recommends the use of confirming volume and momentum).

    To start the first trade, I simply entered the first level realized (h3,h4,l3,l4) then I entered in a bracket around the entry with a stop and reverse (double contract) with whatever the next levels were. If it was a breakout trade (h4,l4) then only one side of the bracket is entered. If I go into a new session then the equation is re-calculated and the new levels entered in the trading platform as limit orders. To simplify this I simply print out the spreadsheet and write in my trades on the spreadsheet and put it in my 3-ring binder with my trade journal pages.

    Hope this helps.

    Here is a list of the trades so far: (I can start a journal if there is interest, so that we can see if simply trading from level to level is profitable)

    04/27/04 short 10485
    04/27/04 reverse long 10512 (-$135.00)
    04/27/04 reverse short 10485 (-$135.00)
    .......................................................................................
    04/28/04 NET SHORT INTO NEXT SESSION FROM 10485
    04/28/04 reverse long 10443 (+$210.00)

    .......................................................................................
    04/29/04 NET SHORT INTO NEXT SESSION FROM 10420
    04/29/04 reverse long 10300(+$600.00)

    I've back-tested a multitude of strategies using bracketed order entry/exit points, and found in general, that they are never really better than break-even at best. I've used pivot points (& midpoints), however, and not fib levels.

    Using volume, price action, and market strength, however, increase those odds. But, I've found it nearly impossible to automate for back-testing purposes.

    Thanks for sharing your findings.

    I am quite new here. I read the many wonderful postings talking about the CAMARILLA EQUATION. Upon checking out the "official" website itself, I found that they claim that they were using 4 variables instead of just 3 as ig0r has suggested. To recap, ig0r suggested:

    HL5 = (hi/lo)*close
    HL4 = ( ((hi/lo)+0.83)/1.83 ) *close
    HL3 = ( ((hi/lo)+2.66)/3.66 ) *close
    LL5 = close - (HL5-close)
    LL4 = close - (HL4-close)
    LL3 = close - (HL3-close)

    which left the open unconsidered.

    Any opinion on this?

  6. As I said it's just pivots. So I won't talk about Cama anymore but about GEOMETRICAL PIVOTS. I won't put a trademark on it so everybody can use it :D

  7. And what about the future since the corporate crooks are lobbying to change the law so that people wouldn't be able to spell any technical word or use any formula any more without paying royalties ! remember British Telecom who vindicated in 2002 to claim for royalties on internet hyperlinks ! With present law it's ridiculous but not if they manage to change the Law !

  8. Do you really want to have a serious discussion about geometrical pivots? It seems like every time someone asks you about your methods, you never share much at all. Or do you just want to be looked upon as another guru on this forum?

  10. Ahhh. Leave our Harry alone. I would miss him. He doesn't try to sell anything but fear itself, leave him alone.

    Actually, Harry is quite a skilled trading engineer, IMHO. (and the things he can do with excel are incredible)
