I found it a major distraction, I would scrutinize too much over selection of trades I took instead I should have taken all signals. But very much learning lessons and acknowledging to myself there was much more to learn. LOL 30 years later, went from paper charts to automation, risk changed from 10% to almost nil, before had drawdowns and now options or deferred contract months profit on pullbacks. But what was once fun, is just boredom of expected returns. Do anything for 45 years, you bound to get decent at it. And people who insult or make jokes I don't understand, I figure they are one of the 95%ers that lose, thank you for their loses.
Hey, is there a league / challenge above this one with better competition? I feel like it's unfair to have us elite traders enter into this. We would easily take up the entire top 100 placings.
Were you planning on journaling your Broke Ass Capital entry here at ET at all? Whether you do you don't, good luck and have fun with it!
I already have a journal here where I went throug the whole automation process and sharing progress stats. So I will continue doing that. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/index-futures-automation.368144/ But if broke ass is not on the list on their website every month, then you know i done fucked up lol. They basically require you to submit broker statements with the account number/name to verify...
Haven't seen @Rams Fan for awhile. He hasn't abandoned Ship has he? Looking forward to this. They seem to update the Standings once a month. I guess start of February we'll get to see who is competing this year.
After one month, one person up 82%. Can't see any "Broke Ass Capital" https://financial-competitions.com/previousstandings
