  2. Davis says 30b.

    The Berkeley Daily Planet says 9b.

    The rest of the world says 1.1 to 1.5b

    You may want to read about the causation. It had little to do with deregulation and every thing to do with the epitome of Big Brother- price caps.

    That says a lot,B007;
    & worse than high taxes is the unwise gov control that follows them.

    Lot of excellant people came out of CA,Ronald Reagan Cap Weinburger..................;
    but of all the states/people that do stupid stuff,
    CA seems to be the leader in stupidity/overweight gov.

    Investors Business Daily [a CA paper that excells]has pointed out for years all the foolish choices CA makes;
    choices have consequences.

    Typical CA, many people there dont seem to realize animals are not equal to humans. Many in CA think so, they ''kindly'' protect mountain lions, they are hunted /managed most everywhere else. So you have an amazing charted uptrend of people killed by CA lions. WOW, how stupid can you get?????????????????????????????????????:cool:

    Unfortunately, I see my beloved state of Texas going down the same road. We're probably already past the tipping point, but 10-20 years behind California as far as going broke.

  7. I agree. - - All of this started with the manipulations of the Federal Reserve central bank that blew up the bubble and the 'bribe for votes' spending by the politicians. Combine this with increasingly dumbed down citizens that are ignorant of economics, their own history, & basic civics . . . and this is the result.
    (I recently asked my nephew, who is a freshman in high school, what he was taught about money, U.S. history and civics and his answer was . . . . . nothing. )

  10. LA TIMES ( READ IT) this past weekend, had a break down of just LA Proper.

    Huge illegal imigration issue.

    40% of the population does not pay taxes.

    70% of the illegal population lives in HUD housing.

    Health Care cost for child birth, through the roof.

    Keep in mind, this was for LA only, that I read..

    And the list goes on and on.

    I about dropped the paper when I was at LAX. For the first time, I have never read any such argument in the Local Paper.

    No worries, the "COMRADS" and the "COLLECTIVE GOOD" will tell everyone that the "RICH" destroyed CALI!!!!!
