California to default next week!

  1. Soros? I'll pass... Socialist, Globalist, Asshat...

Governator ran as a "change" candidate, much like Black Bush, and he morphed in Gray Davis, Jr. Just glancing at it occasionally, it seemed the legislature wouldn't pass any of this changes & he rolled over. Apparently, politics does very strange things to people, or people who get into politics tend to be compulsive liars.

I suspect nationally we will get a strong third party candidate. Black Bush (Bush III) isn't cutting it & seems to be determined to be known as the "media" president. California is a different story, politically its leaders seem beholding to some ethnic group, special interest group or union.... I suspect this budget gets solved with bullshit, higher taxes & fees, and debt/borrowing. we shall see.

The weather is great in Cali, the state is beautiful & varied, & the beach is awesome when the water isn't contaminated... but a guy can move 1.5 hrs east from Sac to Reno & pay for his house there with his State Tax savings.

  5. Same thing with Obama. But "we" the people do not vote based on whats best for us. We vote on who is most popular. We will vote for the coolest kid in school everytime. We will never vote in the brainiac nerd, because he is smarter than us with all those achievements and, by golly, we dont like him!

How true! I think there should be some type of a requirement before you run for office. Something that shows you are capable. Something in the past that shows how successful you have been in business

What has Arnold done in the past....nothing he's starred in movies. I think 80% of politicians aren't equipped for the job.

I'll give you an example....we vote in Busch and everything the guy touched turned to garbage in the past...he can't run shit.

Get Bill Gates in office or the guys that started google....start them in politics and I'm sure they will have everything turned around.

Democrats have ran this state into the ground. People are leaving and house prices are no where near the bottom.

some people believe that the possibility of california defaulting is a political event not an economic event.and deserves to be in chit chat and not economics .bankruptcy is usually considered to be an economic event.

    What do other posters think?

California going bankrupt mainly has do with the credit crisis and real estate. Eventually I think it will lead to the country as a whole.

I think the financial crisis is really only beginning.

I think it may be worse than the Great Depression. California never went bankrupt during the Great Depression.....
