    Nice chart dumb dumb.
Looks like MS plus AL = Colorado.
Your 2 ‘Bangladesh’ states = the strongest economic growth state.
And only at a slight difference in population.
    Makes sense.

What you fail to read in this article was that CA is a failed welfare state where 1 in 5 are classified poor and the state accounts for 33% of all American Welfare. Truly amazing.

Not surprised that a cradle to grave Leftist doesn’t understand that this is not good.

  6. I'm a dipshit who has stepped foot there :)

I own close to 300 acres in SoCal, not the best land but it borders national park and it is pretty enough if you like mostly brownish countryside that goes on fire.

I've have quite a few incidences with mostly couples trying to live there in converted bus old RV affairs. Easy enough to move on by directing them to a little known hotel offering some serviced parking with a lot of work in easy reach. They have nearly all been Cali natives who were priced out.

The point being housing is too expensive for lowest rung earners in much of Cali for sure.

I'm told that spending less than 50% of your income on housing is doing really well near popular places. Cali draws the educated and wealthy skilled tech people etc, it hurts the poor who are being priced out.

This is not a lib/con policy thing really, Cali is showing the sharp end of the incredible wealth inequality problem that is getting worse and worse in America. This is the poison at the root of most of these arguments.

80% of Americans own an unbelievably small portion of the country's wealth

I'm in the 1% who own 40% and I'm not even American.

See the teeny tiny blue bit on the left just below in Actual? That is the bottom 40%

  8. "This is the result of socialism and left-wing politics."

Nope, this is the result of insane wealth distribution. When the Walmarts of the world get away with this shit:

    https://www.forbes.com/forbes/welco....google.com/&referrer=https://www.google.com/

"Walmart's low-wage workers cost U.S. taxpayers an estimated $6.2 billion in public assistance including food stamps, Medicaid and subsidized housing, according to a report published to coincide with Tax Day, April 15."

How many of those tent people worked for Walmart or similar and ran out of favors for the rent?

Stop blaming the poor like this America, you don't have to go socialist but you can't go on like this much longer.

How the heck do you think California got to be this way? You don't think it was leftist policy choices?

Wealth imbalance is a result of high progressive taxes on middle and upper middle class workers and the importation of millions of poor people from poor countries who take govt benefits.

I have lived here since th 80s I have watched it happen. The working middle class has had to squeeze itself into a few good school systems causing the price of the real estate in those neighborhood to become insane. Millions of new people arrive and they drive up the price of the the houses recently vacated; by putting two families into to a rental or an ownership situation.

do you think its possible that by taxing the hell out of the middle class to the point they have to leave or become working poor might have a lot to do with the imbalance?

How about luring in millions of people who don't work from other countries with free govt benefits. Do you think that could clump people on the low end of the spectrum?

Wealth imbalance is a result of crony practices couple with high taxes, progressive taxes and the importation of millions of poor people from poor countries.

So let me ask you this honest question. If this is a Walmart issue (not paying enough) then where are the tent cities like this in Arkansas? Or in Tennessee? Montana? Delaware?

Walmart wages go a lot farther in states where costs are managed better (rent, etc).
