California hikes minimum wage to $20/hr. Workers now make $0/hr

Those states are losing jobs to lower cost labor states. Why are all the manufacturers moving to the south?

 

Red states can have the low wage jobs

 

and the google programmer can pay for the unemployment in his state.

 

And still live a far better life than the average red state resident.

And live years longer with good healthcare

 

The minimum wage has nothing do to with the healthcare and life expectancy. This is a strawman argument.

 

Wages earned certainly has an effect on healthcare and life expectancy.

 

And have better educated families.

 

Probably, but it might have more to correlate with skills. If min wage goes up, i bet those people don't get more insurance. On a side note, how does someone not have insurance? Between Medicaid and Obamacare, everyone should be covered unless they choose not to be.

 

Blue states have higher wagers and more insured than red states.
