i dont think govt should be involved in marriage at all. There shouldn't be any govt or tax or whatever benefits because of marriage and in turn, it should be left up to churches and crap to marry people and have it mean whatever the hell you want it to mean. But in public affairs marraige should be totally irrelevant.
