Ok so Venice is perfect then as Italy is further south. South America would be perfect for growing almonds as well. Almonds is lot more lucrative than rice. Wonder why Southeast Asian countries don't grow them, they have the water and the climate for it.
That's a boat dock? From this pic, it looks like one of those resort huts from Tahiti. The rising water level, could it be due to Florida sinking?
Almonds need a hot dry (NOT HUMID) climate...Mediterranean. California leads the world by a large margin... https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/almond-production-by-country
Well us folks down here in Palm Beach County, Broward and maybe Miami Dade (not sure about them) rely on the Kissimmee Basin to replenish our aquifers. It all flows south from Orlando area to us. Likely same for you Baron. Its not just about much how much rainfall dropped near you, but how much also falls to your north.
This flooding is all from rain, not storm surge. Baron is inland and north of the eye so most of the storm surge was south of the eye and confined to a smaller area along the coast. We (Pasco Co) have several rivers still peaking yesterday & today because of all the rain. It just takes a while for all the canals & tributaries to empty into the rivers which causes them to continue to rise for days after a storm.
That is a cogent remark. Like Yogi Berra , the master of malapropism, use to say it ain't over till it is over
