As an indistrial internet-of-things software developer, I offer my perspective on what I find most revolutionary about blockchain technology.
Weighed in at 172 lbs this morning. Down 17 pounds in about 6 weeks. I control my hunger. My hunger does not control me.
Quick portfolio update, up until about 3 weeks ago I was 50% crypto and 50% precious metal miners. I cashed out my miners for a nifty profit and moved it all over to crypto. Yep, I took the dive. I am now 100% invested. I also took a couple grand of my trading capital and atarted building a server cabinet which will run staking and full nodes.
No fasting involved. I start my 1st day at 300 calories and add about 100 calories per day. After a week or two I am back up over 1,000 calories. I lose about 7-10 pounds in those 2 weeks. I then maintain my weight for a month or so and then reboot, do it all over again. Lose another 7-10 pounds. I also stopped eating after 7PM. Makes losing weight easier.
I have a pot of coffee every morning at 8AM. I usually put about 4 tbsp of heavy cream in a large pot of coffee which is 200 calories. If I am at the very beginning of the diet phase '< 500 calories per day', I will only put in 1 or 2 tbsp. If I am really hungry in the morning I will eat a hard boiled egg, but I normally don't eat anything until lunch at around noon.
So you are not eating from 7PM until 8AM the following morning. In the eyes of some can this already be counted as a form of intermittent fasting as you’re not eating for more than 12 hours. Intermittent fasting does not lead to fat loss intrinsically. But it does help to reduce your insulin level and increases your insulin sensitivity. This is helpful in achieving fat loss.
Considering the word "breakfast" literally means to "break your fast", I would say yes that is all true. But since sleeping is technically fasting, and everyone sleeps, I then personally consider fasting when a person does not consume calories beyond breakfast. But if I were being totally honest I actually consider a real fasts ones that are 24 hours or longer. I have done a number of water only and juice only fasts that were up to 1 week long. Those are close to torture. I generally lose less weight as well doing a water fast, since those will throw your bodily systems in a major funk and make losing weight harder. I find eating very low calories and eating for every single meal (i.e. not fasting) causes faster weight lose. But a person still needs to turn off the engine at 7PM or you will be sleeping while still metabolizing supper. Not good.
