"Pro right-to-carry advocates have often speculated that mass-shooters intentionally select locations where law-abiding carry is banned because they are "safer" for mad-men to go on shooting rampages. (Columbine, Virginia Tech, etc)

...So why did the killer pick the Cinemark theater? You might think that it was the one closest to the killer’s apartment. Or, that it was the one with the largest audience.

Yet, neither explanation is right. Instead, out of all the movie theaters within 20 minutes of his apartment showing the new Batman movie that night, **it was the only one where guns were banned.** In Colorado, individuals with permits can carry concealed handgun in most malls, stores, movie theaters, and restaurants. But private businesses can determine whether permit holders can carry guns on their private property.
Most movie theaters allow permit holders carrying guns. But the Cinemark movie theater was the only one with a sign posted at the theater’s entrance..."

Here we have a "highly trained" police officer. The kind brASS hole, our not so friendly Canadian, thinks should be the only ones armed - here in the US.

Houston officer kills double amputee in wheelchair

    http://news.yahoo.com/houston-officer-kills-double-amputee-wheelchair-222540280.html

"HOUSTON (AP) — A Houston police officer shot and killed a one-armed, one-legged man in a wheelchair Saturday inside a group home after police say the double amputee threatened the officer and aggressively waved a metal object that turned out to be a pen.

Police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said the man cornered the officer in his wheelchair and was making threats while trying to stab the officer with the pen. At the time, the officer did not know what the metal object was that the man was waving, Silva said.

She said the man came "within inches to a foot" of the officer and did not follow instructions to calm down and remain still.

"Fearing for his partner's safety and his own safety, he discharged his weapon," Silva told The Associated Press..
    ."

It's a good thing these two officers are so highly trained. Other wise that double amputee in the wheelchair might have gotten the best of those two officers, eh brASS hole.

Now, imagine the outrage of our bleeding heart anti gun loons had an armed citizen shot and killed a double amputee in a wheelchair after being threatened - with a pen. It'd be national news for days on end.

Flight attendant's gun goes off at Philadelphia Int'l Airport

    Here's the interesting part though:

"...A Philadelphia police officer was trying to unload the .38 when it accidentally fired a round into the wall..."

Of course what the article should have said is: "A Philadelphia police officer was trying to unload the .38 when the police officer accidentally pulled the fucking trigger and fired a round into the wall, which could have easily killed a bystander instead..."

And anti gun buffoons like brASS want only "trained" police officers to be armed?

    Are you fucking kidding me?

On Monday, a Newport News police detective was charged in a case of road rage that a driver reported earlier in September, according to a police news release.

Police served Michael D. Poole, 58, with criminal summonses for two misdemeanor counts of brandishing a firearm, according to a Newport News police news release.

Poole, a 27-year department veteran who is assigned to the intelligence unit, was placed on administrative suspension with pay pending the outcome of criminal proceedings and an internal investigation by the department’s Professional Standards Division, said Lou Thurston, a department spokesman in the release.
