He went on about "ruining a great meaningful song".... lol. I have news for him...what makes a great song, one that moves people inside, is not the lyrics. Its the melody. Thats why variations of melodies repeat over decades and sometimes century's. Sure, lyrics will sell a song if they address how people feel at the time... but only simpletons find deep meaning in lyrics. Dylan has so much as said the same. He wrote much of his stuff from the hip just like I wrote the above. No meaning to him whatsoever. Its people that are searching and have an emptiness in their lives that find meaning in lyrics. The melody is what really moves people, they just don't know it. Lyrics are as easy as tying one's shoes.
Hey Futurecurrent... give me a song you like, and I'll write you a tear-jerking ballad to Hillary.... to help you heal. I have to admit though, if I can pull it off... they need to send ME an award from Stockholm. Its almost an impossible feat.
