The one thing that the US currently leads in is innovation but with the rapid ascent of the Internet and how quickly information moves, other countries (not just China) are catching up very quickly. People should learn to accept this. I do think the one advantage that the US has is its freedoms (capitalism, democracy) that constantly re-invents itself. US is great at exploiting the best and brightest of the world who have emigrated to the US for those freedoms. But it's interesting to see how other countries have adapted over the last 20-30 years and adopted the best practices of the world. Look at South Korea. Incredible powerhouse in so many industries. They are the what the Japanese in the 80s was. As for China, I keep an open mind, they have a different way of doing things. They chug along and just do things while other people get all excited and upset about how "evil" they are.
