Which goes with my point that the difference is psychological. However they infer there is more to it than that. They keep quoting that Peter Achs turned 30k into a million using collars on BBY (or was it BBBY). They infer this is not possible with verticals. Thats stupid. I say why not? (IF indeed Achs actually achieved that) Totally agree with the "THis should be fun" Lets see more maths and less rhetoric from them then
Pretty funny. They were assuming, at first, Mav was Dr J. And they were ready to bow down to his "greatness".
I think they were being cheeky. Btw has anyone seen Mav anywhere - he seems to have disappeared whilst they're taking the mickey out of him! I'd like to go and help him defend himself against those big nasty bullies/ex MM's, but don't really know what to say . He seems a little outnumbered over there, all by himself. Even steve101 (a relative option newbie) is having a shot at him. It's all getting pretty ugly. daddy's boy
I'm going to respond shortly over there. I've been a little busy. I'm going to take them all on. These guys have no idea what they are walking in to.
Very good post over there Mav. Let's hope they are sensible and leave the ad hominem attacks for schoolkids.
Looks like they got: Even the "$5k Bet" was just predicated on "subtle" differences like exercise and margin...well Duh. But you see, Joe and Suzy Sixpack would never pay $3,000 to be told about a synthetic. Won't sell on Main street. All they know is about buying stock. Then, "Wow, you mean I can completely protect my stock with options? Sounds complicated..."
