Does anyone have any experience buying 144 restricted stock in a trading or margin account on a private placement? Specifically, I am wondering if anyone has been able to buy a stock using their daytrading or overnight buying power and holding it until it is freely trading. The stock in question (no I can't name it, sorry) will be restricted until Q2 of '06 but is a killer stock at a nice discount to market. Is this possible? I know this would have to fly by risk management first and usually you put up straight cash for the stock, but has anyone actually bought stock in a private placement through their trading account??
