  2. generally speaking, i look for value when i spend money

    money was relatively hard to come by when i was younger;
    i had to really earn it as they say, or steal :caution: it...

  3. Funny, last dodge product i had was in high school, a 71 dart swinger 340 with holly 4 barrel and hurst shifter. Brings back old memories. Sorry, i will not buy your Chrysler 300 and relieve you of your car payments.

  4. I don't WANT to look like I have money. I'm never going to be anywhere where I have to. I'm never going to try to impress people who care about that. I mean, yeah, I look at haute couture to get ideas. But then I take those ideas and buy them cheaper. I mean, if you haven't noticed, they aren't selling clothes. The illusion is that you need the expensive clothes to have the swagger. I got acres and acres of swagger, and I don't pay much for it. Now THAT is a good investment.

  5. When you have everything you need and want. You can upgrade. Have something for yourself others may not appreciate but you do. Like a hand made tailored jacket, a watch or a sofa the price of a car. You may understand one day, and maybe not, you're living an illusion some prefer to live with originals, it's personal, not everyday use. You can't take it with you.

  6. I'm not actually like, religious about being cheap. I'm religious about value. I mean, I love single-malt scotch as much as anybody here. But I drink it for me, not to display I'm drinking it. In silicon valley these days, they have this idea: "don't chase the vanity metric" I always watch myself to stop myself from doing that.

  7. ok, i worked in the valley 17 years ago. Taste change, one day you'll wake up and realize, you own the best of something if not everything. Like I said, it's personal...

    I am always ready to pay good money for clothes, but not only for the brand clothes but also for the clothes, I would like to wear. Recently I found Lily Lulu Fashion and I am very impressed by the clothes they have, especially puffer coats, it is my weakness.

  9. I have recently learned two great tips: 1) organize your closet by color (looks great and easier to find things), and 2) don't buy anything unless it goes with THREE other pieces (that's a tough one, true).

  10. Agree with you completely. One thing only would like to add - many people think that you can look stylish/fashionable only if you have a huge amount of cash and wear expensive brands. That is not like that at all. People with the good taste and less money always look better that the rich ones without a taste. Here you can check Ross Dress For Less reviews for example, the brand is not very pricey but has some very good designs.
