Thanks for the reply daddy'sboy. As you have noted my previous question, can you also please note the other questions which I also posted. I have posted several questions to certain members, and they have not responded at all. I do not know why, but before we can move on, we must get people used to responding to a question that is addressed to them. I will be very honest now. If I have an opinion then I will give my honest opinion. If I do not have an opinion, then I will state that also, very clearly for all to see. If I need help understanding certain concepts put to me, then I will ask my instructor for help. That is why I am paying him his modest fee, and he has told me to ask him whatever I like, and like myself, he has told me, that he will answer me if he knows the answer. If he does not know the answer, he will tell me straight away. No messing or time wasting. The way it should be. But he has also warned me in that, I should only concentrate on what I need to know. Cheers. Derivman
My Dear GTS. I have replied as I see fit. If you take the time to read the replies carefully, then you will see that I am trying to be civil and courteous. I don't know about you, but I see nothing wrong with that. In my last post to daddy'sboy, I have just noted that some of my questions have not been answered by the people whom they were addressed to. Why are you not asking them why they are not answering the questions put to them. If they have no answer then that is fine, all they have to do is say so. I have stated, and I will now state again, I will give my honest opinion if I have one. If I don't have one, then I will say so. And I am not afraid to say so, at all. That what learning is all about. You must first recognize that you need to learn something before you can learn it. All that I am doing here is trying to improve my knowledge of Options through debate with other traders, experienced and newbies, and I do not see anything at all wrong with that. Please show me what I am doing wrong, from I am eager to learn. That should be very obvious by now. Cheers. Derivman
Derivman, OK, so your instructor has given you a rudimentary lesson in permutaions and combinations! 64 ways to buy & sell options. . .his credentials are becoming more obvious with each of your posts. Honestly, in light of your last post to me, it is entirely clear that one of two things is going on here a) you are a man with way too much time on your hands & a penchant for engaging in circuitous conversations where you have no intention of contributing ANYTHING of value and somehow derive amusement from same b) you, despite your apparent fluency with the english language, have either some kind of comprehension problem &/or psychological issues that prohibit the processing of ideas pitched at anything above a grade school level of difficulty. Not only are you a humourless bore without the slightest notion of irony (let alone acceptable discussion board behaviour) but you finally just got my vote for moving this thread to the 'chit chat' section. My valuable time is taking itself off to bed to curl up with Cottle, 'cause whilst his writings were initially as confounding as yours, at least reading his works is always valuable. That's and AYE from me chaps. Nighty night.
My Dear MajorUrsa. I do not doubt your knowledge of certain traders at Elite and what they are capable of, but I am wondering as to why certain traders are not answering certain questions put to them. It is as if they are trying to ignore them and hope they will go away. A true debate is where all parties engage honestly and openly, and that is the approach that I use, and that I will always use. It is the only way to learn anything of value. You can not pick and choose question to suit yourself. If is much better to accept that you do not know something and say it out straight, for to not do so, is fooling no one only yourself. I am here to learn. Those that want to join me in the debates are very welcome. Those that do not want to join, or want to leave the thread, can do so as they wish. It is a free country we live in. Cheers. Derivman
That's great but its not enough - you actually need to post something about options and in that dept you are sorely lacking Tip #77 - you don't need to post to say that you have no answer. Simply not answering is sufficient. We are not hanging on every word you say. You are posting way too much and saying way too little. How much clearer can I make that? The sum of all of your opinions on this now 7 page thread could be summed up in 10 lines. The rest of all your posts are garbage.
My Dear anti ad hominem. I find the behaviour here very odd to say the least. Let me recap a little in case I am missing something. I join Elite Trader and start posting. I am told be certain members, after a few posts, that I am off topic and I should start my own thread if I want to. I follow the advice given and start my own thread. I am then accused of posting off topic in the thread I started, very shortly after starting it. I then start to ask some questions, which are not replied to, for whatever reasons, and continue to post additional questions, as well as answering some questions posted by other members. Now, there must be something I am missing for to warrant the type of treatment that is now given to me. I am, for the want of a better word, hounded to try and get me to retaliate to certain accusations, so that I will lose my temper and start been abusive to Elite members. This will then result in the closure of the thread or the shifting to a "chit chat" section. Well, I can tell you now, I will not retaliate to anyone, for I see no reason to, and I could not do so anyway, for it is not in my nature. All I want to do is improve my knowledge of Options so that I can become a better trader. Now, if you find something wrong with that, on a public forum which is dedicated to that exact purpose, then you have a problem, and not me. Cheers. Derivman
My Dear GTS. You are of course entitled to your opinion and that is fine with me. If you think I speak garbage, then so be it. I am not worried what you think of me at all. What I am worried about is my education in relation to Options trading, and that is why I am posting here. Now, you can contribute to the debate or not, it is entirely up to you, but please refrain from trying to pick out flaws in people, for you must have heard the old proverb "do not throw stones in glasshouses". Cheers. Derivman
Right, you have to anticipate the seasonal demand. Thanks for the chart. That is interesting. I find this thread tiring and I am unsubscribing from it. If you want to continue this discussion we can start another thread with this topic. nitro
