What are peoples thoughts on the number of times support or resistance can be retested before trades on that level should not be considered anymore?
Geoff9,good question I think what your referring to is at what point have the sellers at resistance for example been consumed by buyers for a BO of resistance to occur? for me there's a few other factors to consider, not just the how many touches at said levels , because you could get multiple tests and price could still BO,so a brief starting point for me is in which context is price currently in, has it come from the highs or lows? make sure you have the correct supp res levels that actually have the orders to open because not all levels are the same, then I'm looking at the price reactions at the supp res levels and have I seen enough to expect that level to hold and to trigger a trade
Piptaker, would you say that looking at support on multiple time-frames, perhaps a larger one would give more strength to the level, or is there something else you look for?
I been buying and taking profit for couple years on this stock BIEI, and last week been buying and adding, it cost under a penny, so if I get stuck with it, soo, but should it take off, wall paper house in gold. It is local company and they into healing, they have local Colleges working on it. One way or another, just going to keep it. Yeah, might be a throw away, but we can dream, ahhh, be sitting on my porch of my retirement home.
