To some people seeing $ roll in is like to you spending some quality time with a 'brand new girlfriend', there is a child in all of us, we just have different triggers.

You know what this thread reminds me of, I associate Miminitrading with a fruit & veg guy with a small market stall desperately trying to offload all the stuff before market shuts doors for Christmas..."1 for a buck, come on, 2 for a buck, all right 5 for a buck, can't lose fellas!" :) And his compadre EqtTrader is helping out of course, on cheap strawberries.

  7. Your jealous! Because you have been calling for the market to fall because of the daily divergences, this has kept you from buying and everyday it goes up you feel more insulted, learn from you mistakes and move on, or quit trading.

  8. I always remember the football story where the coach tells his players to stop celebrating like fools when they score a touchdown, it makes it look like they have never scored a touchdown before in their lives.

If you trade your job is to make money. Only the newbies and inexperienced hop up and down in the endzone and pull a Terrell Ownes if they make money as though they never made money like this before. Moreover, as soon as the trade is over, time to move on to the next one and repeat.

So those people who have to say "Look at me! Look at me!" after making money or celebrate as though this is their first career TD, let us know of their experience and immaturity level real fast. Real traders do not need to brag as the money is its own reward.

How about all of you stop celebrating like you are a complete immature newbie or waste time with pissing matches and focus on making money. You guys must be the same ones in grade school who had to prove themselves in everything or they felt no one would like or respect them. We are adults now. If you need others to jump and pat you on the back for making money then you are in it for the wrong reason.

Lots of people made money today and yesterday and will tomorrow. No matter how much I make in a day I remind myself that people made way more. Humility is the unmentioned secret to trading success as well as acting professional :)

To paraphrase a line from Cool Runnings "If you were nothing before the money, you will never be anything with it."

I was counting on your sense of humour, no hard feelings man.

Yes, I was and still am short S&P, due to option hedge I am OK, actually was in green when S&P's hit recent highs. I might not be in at the right time, but my ass is covered though.

Your story seems a tad made up to fit what your inner thoughts.
