Absolutely not, this is a big fat lie largely popularized by the medical cartel and BIG Pharma. As far as diseases are concerned, the impact of genetics is less than 3%, the rest (97%) comes largely from (mal)nutrition, stress and toxins/chemicals found in our "modern" food and beverage. All these negative elements weaken our immune system and, in the long run, create all kinds of seemingly unrelated diseases, including but not limited to, cardio-vascular problems, cancers, diabetes, hypertension, depression, Alzheimer, anxiety, brain fog, etc... “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” Hippocrates, the father of medicine, 460 BC.
We're both right, you more so however. No doubt. _________________________ The siblings and children (collectively called first-degree relatives) of long-lived individuals are more likely to remain healthy longer and to live to an older age than their peers. People with centenarian parents are less likely at age 70 to have the age-related diseases that are common among older adults. The brothers and sisters of centenarians typically have long lives, and if they develop age-related diseases (such as high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, or type 2 diabetes), these diseases appear later than they do in the general population. Longer life spans tend to run in families, which suggests that shared genetics, lifestyle, or both play an important role in determining longevity. Whole genome sequencing studies of supercentenarians have identified the same gene variants that increase disease risk in people who have average life spans. The supercentenarians, however, also have many other newly identified gene variants that possibly promote longevity. Scientists speculate that for the first seven or eight decades, lifestyle is a stronger determinant of health and life span than genetics. Eating well, not drinking too much alcohol, avoiding tobacco, and staying physically active enable some individuals to attain a healthy old age; genetics then appears to play a progressively important role in keeping individuals healthy as they age into their eighties and beyond. Many nonagenarians and centenarians are able to live independently and avoid age-related diseases until the very last years of their lives. https://medlineplus.gov/genetics/understanding/traits/longevity/
Done and done...Bought it at $114.76. (100 shares). Did the Jan 22 $120 option. I got $17.25 for the option. A basic of how I trade... I asked a couple people what would happen with this basic situation. If people (because of budget issues) had to give up their daily Starbucks (go to McDonald's or make at home) or iPhone (go with an android) which would they choose? It seemed the iPhone was a hold on tight...
Why would you buy the stock and then sell a call? Why not sell a put around 114 or less and then sell a call if you are assigned?
I have a lot of cash...It earns diddly/squat in a CD. I can take that call money and invest it somewhere else. They may even raise their dividend. Add a .7% dividend and it seems OK to me. Time will tell...
Covered calls on Apple is a terrible idea when China might invade Taiwan, or just screw with APPL as a retaliation, trust me I played with covered calls and you must know the stock intimately and be ready to hold it forever. If that is the case, go for it -SMALL. Put the rest of your money in some Bond ETFs, materials stocks ETFs, SPYD(pays 6+ percent) etc etc. AMAZON covered call is better, even TSLA cc I like more. This is not investment advice just my opinion.
I think Apple will be sourcing out of China in the near future. Apple has huge sales in China. I am thinking China only wants to screw with companies that does not hurt their people. Take away Apple phones in China...The people would be pissed!! Then they would somehow (magically) get back into China...Via Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand...
