Buy Apple. Apple not supporting 2014 products, forcing consumers to buy upgrades.

  1. Exactly. Apple users are more concerned with the "sizzle rather than the steak". You can get more money out of a lot of those Apple people.

The upgrade cycle should be shortened to 3 years. Apple is a buy.

The M1 macbooks no longer sizzle (constant overheat and fan noise like intel ones did), they are pretty good steaks.

  3. I worked years for Apple. That is one reason I have been hesitant to buy their stock. lol

I was there from 2011 to 2014. Always found it interesting how people over-paid for throw-away devices.

You are lucky to get a year out of something before it SLOWWWWWWS the fuck down.

Ironically, I still hold onto my iPhone 5, barely runs broker apps like Wealth-Simple, but I have so much tied into that phone, haha.

  4. I believe Apple just had a legal judgement against them for Iphones that slowed down in the "BatteryGate" issue. What do you know about slowing Apple products?

Apple, pisses me the fuck off...I have an iPhone6 (vanilla) and I have two apps now that will not load because the phone will not accept the iOS versions they require for the upgraded versions. So I am forced to upgrade my hardware to fucking whatever outrageously expensive older model I can find that supports that iOS version.

Spoil yourself. Get one of the latest versions.
Its not like a forking out for a mansion or a lambo, its just $1000 or $699 or $429 (for the latest SE) and will last years.

Someone who loses all of last year's trading profits in 3 months does not "spoil themselves". I'm in frugality mode. Apple is not helping the plight of people like me who do not want to spend 1000 or 700 or 430 on a phone.

I cannot justify spending a substantial amount of money on a phone that I use for phone calls, but need just a couple of apps like banking and shit, lol! I really dislike being forced to have that as only option. (And I cannot do Android. Tried it once, it failed after 2 years. )

Yeah i know what you mean.

In 2009, my trading was going very well, so i treated myself to a iPhone 3g, cost £400 GBP. That was lot of money for a phone back then. I would have never normally spent that kind of money for a phone but i had a really good trading year.

By 2013, trading was not going so well, i bought an Android phone, cost just £130. It was actually quite a good little phone, never let me down.

2018 life going good again. Back on apple for myself and all the family, have spent over £2500 on iPhones since then . Plus the same amount on MacBooks and iPads. Things cost 4x more with a family.

It cost me $140 to fill up my car this week :wtf:. Gas, as you guys call it, is now over $10 a gallon here in London. And we will just burn that shit in a couple of weeks. Makes paying $400 for a phone that could last up to 8 years feel not so expensive.

I have always paid cash upfront for my phones. But many, perhaps most, people appear to be buying them on monthly plans.
