Looks like you can papertrade button trader with a sim account for free. Give it a try. Good trading.
There's substantial documentation on the ButtonTrader site. You should be able to determine from that whether ButtonTrader handles your needs. Just do some reading. And by the way, if you have needs that go beyond ButtonTrader, it doesn't exist, and further, you are trading too complicated. ButtonTrader is reliable, and has very good support. OldTrader
You're welcome. If you run into any issues or have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Daniel
Hi rasesh, Unfortunately I have only one sample-strategy (MA-Crossover). Please let me know if you have any idea for a new demo-strategy that I could also include into the installation. If it is useful I will also make a kind of 'Strategy-development: Step by step' and put it on the web. Daniel
I would hate to trade without ButtonTrader. Its the fastest way to trade for a scalper. And the risk management tools are extremely helpful in limiting risk. BT isn't perfect though - it hasn't changed much over time. And most of the changes in BT are related to just keeping up with IB. IB introduces new products and features at a very fast pace and TWS is filled with bugs.
just a question for those that use Button Trader. Do you guys use the Button Trader charts or something different?
Daniel, Yes, that step by step guide on your web site would help. I am looking for strategy to plug in pivots for entry (based on R1,S1, R2, S2....etc.). thank you.
Hi rasesh, Yes - good point to start. Since this issue is going to be 'off topic' from the thread-starter I suggest to make it more private and take it off from the forum. Please drop me a mail at droste@TradeProject.de. I will first show how to make a new indicator showing the pivot points. Then I will show how to develop a new strategy based on pivot points. The only question is what you want to do? Open a long/short position at which point? Do you want a take profit and/or a stop loss order attach to the initial order? Anyone else who is interested is welcome to join. Always good trades, Daniel
