Very interesting article. This was a big move, but the metal itself did not follow. Is this a pre-cursor to weakness (finally) in the red metal ?

I've figured it out....re: what's holding the copper market up: FXI. Look at that proxy for Chinese economic growth. It's been very strong recently.
Over 38 thousand March contracts trading today...WOWZER.
This is a "gentlemen, place your bets" situation.
Could break either way.

 

don't forget, those chinese contracts are itty bitty

38k chinese is about like 3800 American

freaked mew out the first time i saw how much corn was trading over there

till I realized how small a Chinese contract is
