I hope the member fin these subjets interestings.... Steve
Nice week end to All, I like to hear many experiences from the members of this forum about their edges(not in the specific of course!!); how find it, lost it, develop it ecc,,,,for to change always the same subjet like fibonacci, gann, support, resistence, ecc. Best regards Steve
Hi Steve, How many different strategies have you tested and failed? Also, how long have you been in the markets? Your quote here raised a red flag that I felt compelled to reply. You say your system has a high win/loss ratio but your wins are small. This type of pattern probably has a greater than 60% chance of blowing out your account. I say this because part of my research to finding my edge was to read about the account profiles of highly successful traders (ala Market Wizards et al). Most, (not all) successful off floor traders have accounts where they have LOW win/loss ratio (maybe around 30-40% wins) but VERY HIGH average win/average loss ratios. Just something to think about when you develop your next systematic edge. DNAJ65000
hi and thanks for the replay, my win/loss ratio it's 80%, average gain 10,75 points and average loss 6,33 points reward/risk 0,93 and the signal of my edge come once/two at day. I trade the eurostoxx and dax future and I am 3 years in the market but I found my edge only this year and my gains are 140 points at month like part time trader, Best regards, Steve
Excellent numbers. Then I congratulate you on finding your edge and wish you the best. Size up when you feel confortable and make as much money as you can. DNAJ65000
