... but is it doable in reality ?

  1. Part III and finale on Peloton Interactive (PTON) .... the shares have lost heavily sadly after the rally, and there's no doubt that investing in this company is highly speculative.

They are of course still a turnaround candidate as of now, and have to find a way to generate positive earnings, otherwise it'll be "lights out".

  2. It really is a rollercoaster ride for the shareprice of British American Tobacco (BATS) since early 2019. They've been sold off recently because of legal action in Canada resulting in a nasty > 20 billion US$ penalty that the tobacco giants have to swallow collectively.

A small rally followed partly because competitor Altria delivered strong results (its shares appreciating > 8% on the release day).

Evan Tindell saw, in a realistic scenario, a 16% IRR (dividends + share appreciation), 24% in an optimistic one.

Financial modeling of course is no exact science and never will be, but right now, if he's right, the stock is again in bargain territory.

Closing price on 11/01/2024 was 2,705 pence.

  3. As an addition to my last entry from three days ago, now from a chartpattern perspective, BATS looks superstrong for further price increases.

Now quoted @ 2,823 pence at the LSE, the shares may very likely offer a great return. In the past, whenever you bought the tobacco giants 50% below their all-time high, you made a great return on your investment longterm.

The dividend is likely to rise, too.

I'd be a buyer here. [IMG]

  5. The founder of the Elliott Wave group I already mentioned, an austrian fellow named Daniel Kleinhappel, has analyzed the goldprice based on EW and now thinks it is very likely the price may drop to 2,400 US$.

    Currently (Futures contract) 2,606 US$ .

  7. Imperial Brands (ISIN : GB0004544929) with very strong results, the company delivers - german efficiency at the top, the CEO is a native of Germany, as am I. Joking aside, investors react positively and the shares have risen today.

The share price now slightly above the high in 2008, before the great financial crisis wreaked havoc in stockmarkets worldwide.

I'd be a buyer here, as I wrote already when shares traded lower.

  8. The shares of Peloton Interactive (PTON) have rallied again. My gut feeling tells me there's a big buyer in the market, maybe another big company or an activist investor is aquiring a big stake. Of course, I don't know, it's a pure guess by me.

    Closing price yesterday (11/21/2024) was 9.06 US$.

The shares appreciated in after-hours trading yesterday.

I still think they may make another big leap upwards within the next 6 months.

  10. I remain bullish on Peloton Interactive (PTON), it looks very bullish now purely from a chartist's perspective.

It may be that the company will report a profit when it reports on 01/31/2025.
